If you mean The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Nintendo lists it as a one-player game and lists Save Data Cloud support for Nintendo Switch Online members. Cloud backup is not multiplayer, and Nintendo’s cited listing does not establish cross-platform save sharing. “Echoes of Hyrule” is not the official game name shown on Nintendo’s US product page.
Which game does “Echoes of Hyrule” refer to?
Nintendo’s official US listing is for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, released on September 26, 2024. This article uses that game as the intended subject. If you meant a different game, its multiplayer and save features may be different.

Does Echoes of Wisdom have multiplayer?
Nintendo lists the player mode as “Single system (1).” In other words, the listed mode is for one player on one system; the product page does not advertise a multiplayer mode. The player-count specification appears on Nintendo’s Echoes of Wisdom product page.

That answers the in-game multiplayer question without conflating it with online services. Nintendo also lists Save Data Cloud, but that is a save-backup feature—not a way for multiple people to play together.
Does it support cloud saves?
Yes. Nintendo’s product listing includes “Save Data Cloud” among the game’s Nintendo Switch Online features. Nintendo Support says that using Save Data Cloud requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. The membership requirement is described in Nintendo’s instructions for identifying games that support Save Data Cloud backup.
Cloud backup is useful for keeping a supported save backed up through Nintendo’s service. It is separate from multiplayer, and the listing alone does not answer every question about moving a save between devices or platforms. In particular, the presence of cloud backup should not be treated as proof that a game’s save can be shared across different platforms.
Does “Save Data Cloud” mean cross-platform saves?
Not by itself. “Cross-saves” usually means that progress can be carried between distinct platforms or versions of a game. Nintendo’s listing establishes Save Data Cloud support, while the cited product and support pages do not establish that Echoes of Wisdom synchronizes saves across platforms. They also do not describe a separate cross-platform save feature for this game.

Rank #2
- Save the Kingdom of Hyrule - this time as Princess Zelda - in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch
- In this new installment of The Legend of Zelda range, it's up to Zelda and her wisdom to save the kingdom of Hyrule. Its inhabitants disappear into strange cracks - and with them a very specific sword fighter.
- Step into the role of Princess Zelda and save Hyrule from a mysterious force. Use their wisdom and tri rod to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
- Creativity is the key to success: discover the power of Tri-Stab and create imitations of objects and creatures, so-called echoes. Use these echoes to overcome obstacles and take over in battle.
- Beautifully designed world full of secrets and captivating story full of adventures.
- Multiplayer: More than one player can play together. Nintendo lists Echoes of Wisdom as “Single system (1).”
- Cloud backup: A supported save can be backed up using Nintendo’s Save Data Cloud feature, which requires Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- Cross-platform saves: A save can be shared or continued across different platforms. The cited Nintendo pages do not establish this for Echoes of Wisdom.
A cloud-save label is evidence for cloud backup support, not a promise of cross-platform progression. Avoid relying on it as confirmation that progress transfers between platforms.

Nintendo Support gives three places to verify whether a game supports Save Data Cloud. Menu wording and availability may differ by region or software version, but the support article identifies these locations:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Nintendo eShop: Open the game’s Software Details and look for Save Data Cloud support.
- Nintendo Store: Open the game’s product page and check the “About this item” section.
- From the game’s software menu: Open the game’s software options and check for its cloud-save compatibility information.
Nintendo’s support page also discusses Switch software compatible with Nintendo Switch 2: save data for compatible software can be backed up and downloaded on either system. Nintendo notes that added Switch 2 features or content may not be accessible when that save data is used on Nintendo Switch. This is general guidance for compatible Switch software; it does not establish that Echoes of Wisdom has Switch 2-exclusive features or content.
What to rely on when planning where to play
If you want to play with another person, the official player-count listing is the relevant specification: it says one player on a single system. If you want a backup, Nintendo lists Save Data Cloud and requires Nintendo Switch Online membership to use it. If your decision depends on continuing the same save on a different platform, the cited Nintendo pages do not confirm that capability; verify the specific platform-to-platform transfer you have in mind with Nintendo before relying on it.
