DOOM: The Dark Ages launched on May 15, 2025, and Premium Edition owners were eligible to play up to two days earlier. That meant access could begin as early as May 13, although Bethesda did not specify an exact unlock time or regional schedule. The early-access window has ended; Bethesda’s buy page now labels the game “AVAILABLE NOW.”
When could Premium Edition owners start playing?
Bethesda Support lists May 15, 2025 as the launch date for Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox App for Windows PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5. Its editions FAQ says Premium Edition included early access “up to two days before launch.” May 13 is therefore the earliest possible date calculated from that interval, not a separately published unlock date. Bethesda did not state the precise unlock hour or regional rollout. Bethesda Support’s editions FAQ and its launch-date announcement provide those terms.

For a campaign DLC entitlement, Bethesda Support says Premium Edition and Collector’s Bundle purchasers receive Revelations at no additional cost. Which edition or upgrade fits?
The practical choice depends first on whether you already own the base game, then on whether you want the DLC, digital extras, or physical collector items. Bethesda’s current product page lists the following options; availability and storefront details can vary by platform.

What if you own DOOM Anthology?
In a September 14, 2026 update, id Software said DOOM Anthology had been updated to include DOOM: The Dark Ages Premium Edition on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Earlier Anthology owners do not receive the game as a free upgrade. id Software said prior Steam purchasers may be offered a discounted “Complete Your Set” Premium Edition price; for Xbox and PlayStation bundle owners, the purchase route depends on platform and bundle history. What kind of game is DOOM: The Dark Ages?
Bethesda describes it as a single-player dark fantasy and science-fiction prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal. Its product description highlights the Shield Saw and Super Shotgun, alongside a Mecha Dragon, an Atlan mech, and demon-filled battlefields.
