DOORS Floor 2 is The Mines, the second main floor in the Roblox horror experience DOORS—not a separate sequel. It launched on August 30, 2024, and takes players through a mining complex of rooms, hazards, and entity encounters toward Door 200. Access instructions have changed since launch, so check the current DOORS experience rather than relying on old claims that you must first complete The Hotel.
What is DOORS Floor 2?
The Mines is a new setting and progression route within the same DOORS Roblox experience published by LSPLASH. Its environment uses mine-themed elements such as rock, steel, timber, ladders, lockers, minecarts, and generators. A run proceeds through rooms and culminates at Door 200. The fan-maintained The Mines overview describes the floor and its route.
The Mines Update arrived on August 30, 2024. The fan-maintained DOORS update history records it as a major floor update that added entities, mechanics, items, achievements, and room revisions. Those are launch-history details; later game updates can change how particular mechanics work.
How do you get to The Mines?
The current Mines overview describes entering by starting or joining an elevator. Access rules have evolved: an older release description said players needed to beat The Hotel first or join a friend’s elevator, but that should not be treated as the current universal requirement. The overview now says all players can join a Mines run after a later content update. Because Roblox experiences can change, check the live game for the available elevator options.

What should you expect in The Mines?
Entities and encounters
The update history identifies four new entities at launch: Giggle, which ambushes from ceilings; Gloombats, associated with attacks around light; Grumble, which roams the Nest; and Queen Grumble. These names and broad encounter roles help distinguish The Mines from The Hotel, but individual behavior and balance may change with updates.
Environmental hazards
The Mines also introduces environmental dangers rather than relying only on entity encounters. The update history lists floods, firedamp, falling boulders, broken bridges, and hazards along minecart routes. Watch the route and surroundings as well as doors and hiding places; a safe-looking room can still contain a non-entity threat.

Items
Launch-era additions listed in the update history include the Bulklight, Glowstick, Moonlight Candle, Straplight, Shears, Battery Pack, Bandage Pack, Alarm Clock, Starlight Jug, and Fuse. Their exact behavior can be affected by later updates, so treat the in-game descriptions and current mechanics as authoritative during a run.
Should you use a guide or headphones?
The official DOORS experience page on Roblox recommends entering without a guide and learning from each death. That is a suggestion, not a requirement: a guide can help explain a mechanic if repeated attempts are frustrating, while exploring first preserves the intended discovery.

The same official listing recommends headphones and warns about loud sounds and flashing lights. Headphones are optional, not a required accessory, and the listing does not endorse a particular brand or model. Consider your comfort and sensitivity to sudden audio or flashing effects before playing; you can also adjust your setup or take a break if needed.
