The Dota 2 x Monster Hunter event added six themed hero sets, a Palico courier, a Poogie pet, and a hunt-and-craft system. The core version of each hero set could be crafted for free by gathering materials through hero hunts. The event ran from November 11, 2025, to February 6, 2026, so its original earning window has ended; whether the rewards return is unconfirmed.
What the Dota 2 x Monster Hunter crossover included
Valve announced the crossover on November 10, 2025, describing six Monster Hunter-themed item sets, each with three craftable alternate versions. It also introduced a Palico courier with craftable costumes and a Poogie pet with craftable outfits. Valve’s Dota 2 announcement set out the event rewards; Dota 2 China’s official announcement, dated November 11, also described the crossover.
The six hero sets
The six set names and associated heroes were reported by Dot Esports:
- Odogaron Armor for Sniper
- Palico Disguise Bomb Unit for Techies
- Kirin Armor for Anti-Mage
- Rathalos Armor for Dragon Knight
- Bone Armor for Beastmaster
- Zinogre Armor for Windranger
Dot Esports’ event guide names the sets and heroes. Valve’s announcement described the six themed sets and their craftable variants.

How the free sets worked
Valve said the core version of each hero set was free to all Dota players and could be crafted after players gathered the required materials through hero hunts. The Hero Atlas tracked hunt progress and provided hero lore and dispatches. Valve did not publish drop rates or a complete recipe table in the announcements, so there is no verified universal number of hunts or materials to quote.
- Choose heroes to hunt and collect the materials they provide.
- Track progress in the Hero Atlas.
- Use the gathered materials to craft eligible core hero sets and their available variants.
The first two points describe the event system announced by Valve; the announcements do not provide a precise recipe or drop-rate breakdown.

Pack holders could also craft exclusive versions of Poogie, Palico, and the hero sets; Valve noted that the exclusive hero variants included custom ambient and Immortal effects. Neither the event announcement nor the corroborating regional announcement establishes a current price or current store availability.
