EA currently lists the game for PC through the EA app and Steam, plus Xbox; Microsoft lists Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. If you want your Origins decisions reflected in Dragon Age: Inquisition, the documented route is to build and import a world state with Dragon Age Keep—not to import your Origins save file directly.
How long does Dragon Age: Origins take?
HowLongToBeat estimates displayed by IsThereAnyDeal put the base game at 40 hours for the main story, 58 hours for the main story plus side content, and 88 hours for a completionist run. These are community estimates, not official EA completion times or a guarantee of how long your own playthrough will take; pace and what counts as “complete” vary. IsThereAnyDeal’s base-game listing displays the estimates.

The Ultimate Edition figures are also HowLongToBeat estimates displayed by IsThereAnyDeal, rather than official timings. The longer estimates are consistent with the edition’s added content, but they are not a controlled comparison of identical play styles. IsThereAnyDeal’s Ultimate Edition listing shows those estimates.
What platforms can you play it on?
EA’s product page currently lists the PC game through the EA app and Steam, as well as Xbox. Microsoft’s store lists Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming as play options. These are the storefront options listed by EA and Microsoft, not a complete account of every platform on which the game has appeared historically. EA’s Dragon Age: Origins page and the Xbox store listing provide the current listings.

EA’s page says an EA Account, registration with the enclosed serial code, and an internet connection are required to play and access online features or services. EA also warns that it may retire online features after notice. That general storefront language does not establish whether any particular legacy online feature currently works.
What does the Ultimate Edition include?
Steam describes Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition as including the base game, the Awakening expansion, and all nine content packs. Xbox lists Awakening and several other add-ons separately, so what is bundled depends on the storefront and edition. If you want the base campaign only, check the product listing for the specific version; if you want the expansion and packs together, Steam’s Ultimate Edition listing spells out that bundle. Steam’s Ultimate Edition page and the Xbox listing show their respective offerings. Prices can vary by region and change over time.

- Scalable combat options that let you decide the level of control you have over your party, including NPCs. Issue orders, set your own tactical AI, or take control of any party member to lead the charge.
- 6 possible playable preludes known as ‘Origin Stories’ which along with your play, define how your hero character will see the world, how it sees you and sets the tone for the entire story.
- Travel across the vast and varied lands of Ferelden; from the conspiratorial halls of the last great dwarven city, Orzammar, to the untamed snarls of the Korcari Wilds.
- Dragon Age: Origins will give you deep character customization options including: class, race, appearance, abilities, and equipment.
- At the heart of the storm sweeping across Ferelden. Decide the fate of nations, people and, ultimately, yourself. Just remember: for every choice, there is a consequence.
Can you carry Origins choices into Dragon Age: Inquisition?
Yes, through a world state made with Dragon Age Keep. The Inquisition manual says players can set choices from earlier games in Keep and import the resulting world state when starting a new game. It also makes a key distinction: Inquisition does not read save files from previous games directly. You must either create and import a Keep world state or use the game’s default history. The official Inquisition manual documents that process.
- Sign in to Keep with the same Origin account used with Inquisition, as described in the manual.
- Create a world and set the earlier-game choices you want reflected.
- At the start of a new Inquisition game, import that world state; otherwise, choose the default starting history.
BioWare’s 2013 announcement describes Keep as a way to customize a world state across platforms and reconstruct choices if a save was lost or corrupted. That post explains the service’s original purpose, but it does not confirm whether Keep is currently operational; check the service before relying on it. BioWare’s announcement provides the historical context.

This method concerns choices carried into Inquisition. It should not be treated as a universal save-transfer method for every game or platform in the series.
