Bandai Namco announced it on September 19, 2025, with early access beginning September 21 and purchase availability scheduled for September 24. The publisher counted it as the game’s third DLC overall, even though it is called Character Pack 2.
When did Character Pack 2 release?
Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced the pack on September 19, 2025. Its announcement set September 21, 2025, for early access and September 24, 2025, for purchase availability. Those are the dates in the publisher’s announcement; “starts today” is no longer current.

The announcement said owners of the Deluxe, Ultimate, or Premium Edition, as well as buyers of the individual Season Pass (DLC 1–3, Extra), would automatically receive the content for early access. The notice reflects the 2025 access terms; it does not establish current storefront prices or eligibility. The publisher also said a free update would be available alongside the DLC for all players.
Why is Character Pack 2 called the third DLC?
“Character Pack 2” is the pack’s name, not its position in the game’s overall DLC sequence. The Dragon Ball Official Site’s April 25, 2025 announcement calls Character Pack 1 the game’s second DLC. Bandai Namco’s September announcement describes Character Pack 2 as the third DLC. The numbering is consistent once those two labels are kept separate.

Which fighters and extras are included?
Character Pack 2
The publisher lists six fighters in the DAIMA pack:
- Goku (Mini), Super Saiyan 4
- Goku (DAIMA), Super Saiyan 4
- Vegeta (DAIMA), Super Saiyan 3
- Majin Duu
- Third Eye Gomah
- Giant Gomah
The same announcement says a free update rolling out with the DLC adds the First Demon World stage and balance adjustments. The stage and adjustments were described as free update content, not as part of the paid character-pack roster.

Character Pack 1, for comparison
The official site’s April 25, 2025 post lists eight playable entries for Character Pack 1: Goku (Mini), Super Saiyan; Vegeta (Mini); Vegeta (Mini), Super Saiyan; Vegeta (Mini), Super Saiyan 2; Vegeta (Mini), Super Saiyan 3; Glorio; Panzy; and Majin Kuu. It also lists a Goku (Mini) outfit that changes techniques. The site cautions that some translated text may sound unusual; the list here follows its English wording.

Character Pack 2 is not the game’s newest major DLC announcement in the cited official updates. On July 30, 2026, Bandai Namco America announced that Super Limit-Breaking NEO was available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 launches to follow later. The announcement describes NEO as the biggest DLC release and lists 33 new playable characters, four Episode Battles, four stages, new Extra Battles, and a Solo Mode called Limit Breaker Journey.

Bandai Namco also said a free update released that day added two gameplay mechanics and three stage variants. These are publisher-described contents and platform timings; the announcement does not establish current prices. NEO is a separate, later DLC release, not another name for the DAIMA Character Pack 2.

The cited official product page lists physical editions of the base game alongside digital editions and DLC listings. The sources do not establish a physical version or boxed bundle of Character Pack 2 itself. A physical base-game edition is therefore a separate product, not a physical copy of this DLC.
