To save Doireann in Dragon’s Dogma 2, complete Gift of the Bow, meet Glyndwr outside Roderick’s Smithy in Vernworth, and follow him to Sacred Arbor and the Ancestral Chamber. When Glyndwr’s arrow makes the ogre drop Doireann, pick her up and carry her out. You can defeat the ogre first or escape while it is distracted; either way, carrying Doireann to safety is the essential step.
Before you start A Trial of Archery
Complete Gift of the Bow first. Afterward, return to Vernworth and approach Glyndwr outside Roderick’s Smithy; he should initiate a conversation that begins A Trial of Archery. A pawn with the Woodland Wordsmith specialization is helpful because other elves speak Elvish, but it is not a quest prerequisite. PowerPyx’s walkthrough recommends bringing one.

Follow Glyndwr to Sacred Arbor
- After speaking with Glyndwr in Vernworth, head back toward Malachite Forest and meet him at his training location.
- Follow him to Sacred Arbor and complete the scene there.
- When Doireann is reported abducted, return along the path to the marked location and meet Glyndwr.
If Glyndwr gets separated from you on the way, continuing toward the village can reconnect the route, according to PowerPyx.
Reach Doireann in the Ancestral Chamber
Enter the Ancestral Chamber with Glyndwr and make your way through its enemies toward the next chamber. The guides do not establish a fixed enemy lineup for every return to the dungeon, so focus on progressing through the chamber rather than expecting a particular roster or relying on an optional chest.

How to rescue Doireann
During the encounter, Glyndwr shoots the ogre and makes it drop Doireann. Go to her and pick her up. The practical goal is to carry her out of the dungeon; killing the ogre is one way to make that safer, not a condition for the rescue.

Either way, keep carrying Doireann until the scene triggers. Then finish the conversation with Glyndwr and speak with Taliesin to complete the quest. Gamer Guides’ quest guide also describes Doireann’s rescue as the start of her later questline; she may need a few in-game days before offering further work.

These are the listed rewards for completing the quest; the guides do not establish what happens to the reward outcome if Doireann dies. They also do not establish a reliable main-story cutoff for starting the quest, so avoid assuming it is missable at a particular milestone. The walkthroughs cited here were published in 2024 and do not verify behavior on every later game patch.
