Check your platform’s achievement list before planning
Achievement counts and requirements can differ by platform, and the available sources do not establish current PlayStation or Xbox totals. Steam’s live list shows 60 achievements: Steam Community achievement page. Gamer Guides’ older guide lists 55 achievements/trophies, so do not use that figure as a current universal count: Gamer Guides achievement guide.

Steam’s list spans story and endgame milestones as well as everyday activities. Examples include changing vocation, setting a pawn quest, teaching a pawn a specialization, reaching maximum vocation rank, using a Wakestone, and reaching named locations. Check the exact list for your platform and edition before committing to a route.
Plan a low-replay-risk run
If you want to earn as much as possible in one playthrough, explore and complete side content as you go, while keeping notes on the items most likely to cause a missed achievement. A PowerPyx trophy roadmap recommends reaching Main Quest 14, “A New Godsway,” then cleaning up trophy-related tasks before choosing an ending route. It says related side quests remain available at that stage; treat this as that guide’s recommended checkpoint, not an official guarantee: PowerPyx trophy guide and roadmap.

If you prefer to play without tracking every objective, expect that New Game+ may be useful for cleanup. The available guides do not establish that every missed achievement can be recovered there, so verify individual requirements against your platform list before relying on a second run. Your character’s gender, race, and starting vocation do not affect the roadmap’s suggested approach.
Track these missable-sensitive tasks
Guides flag the masquerade at the palace, Maister teachings, the Phantom Oxcart, and the Sphinx’s conundrums as tasks worth monitoring. Their guides differ in how they label missables and when specific tasks become unavailable, so treat each one as a checkpoint: finish it before advancing beyond its relevant quest or story trigger. For quest-level steps, use a walkthrough that matches your current progress and platform rather than assuming a single universal cutoff.

- Palace masquerade: Keep the masquerade-related task on your checklist rather than postponing it indefinitely.
- Maister teachings: Track the teachings you have received and any remaining Maisters before pushing into late story progression.
- Phantom Oxcart: Complete its quest while its trigger is available; do not assume it will remain accessible after later story changes.
- Sphinx conundrums: Record the location of your first Seeker Token as soon as you find it. The roadmap says one riddle depends on that player-specific location.
Make a save before the ending sequence
The PowerPyx roadmap recommends preserving an inn save or platform backup before the end sequence. That gives you a recovery point if you want to pursue a different ending route without replaying the full game. Follow the platform’s own save and backup behavior; a backup is not a substitute for checking whether a particular achievement is still obtainable.
How to handle the Sphinx riddle tied to your first Seeker Token
The roadmap warns that the Sphinx asks about the location of your first Seeker Token, which is different for each player. Write down a nearby landmark or other reliable location detail when you collect it. If you have already forgotten, the roadmap says New Game+ may give you another chance to establish the location, but that is a route suggestion rather than a guaranteed recovery method.

Spoilers: normal ending and Unmoored World achievements
Endgame route: The PowerPyx roadmap recommends defeating the dragon for the normal ending first, then loading the last save and speaking with the Pathfinder to return to the dragon sequence. During the final dragon flight, use the Empowered Godsbane Blade as directed by the game to access the Unmoored World. Preserve a save before this sequence if you want the option to revisit the ending path.
Achievements are tied to the final dragon sequence and the Unmoored World route. Steam lists an achievement named “Dragon’s Dogma 2” and “Closure,” described as “Experienced the end of the cycle. (Not available in Casual Mode).” That Casual Mode restriction is explicit for Closure on Steam; do not assume the same requirement wording applies to every platform’s list.
Use a checklist that fits your play style

Build progress through ordinary play
The achievement set also rewards broad participation in the game’s systems. Let vocation progression, pawn management, combat, exploration, and miscellaneous tasks unlock naturally as you play, but glance at your platform list periodically so an easy requirement does not become a late cleanup chore. Gamer Guides groups its list into vocation, pawn, combat and exploration, miscellaneous tasks, story, and Unmoored World categories; Steam’s examples include vocation changes, pawn quests and specializations, vocation rank, Wakestones, and named locations.
