To check whether your PC can run Dragon’s Dogma 2, compare its exact processor and graphics-card models with the current Steam requirements, and confirm Windows 11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, and DirectX 12. The minimum tier lists 1080p play with an upscaler and Prioritize Performance settings, but warns that frame rates can drop under heavy processing load; meeting the minimum is not a guarantee of smooth performance.
Current Dragon’s Dogma 2 PC requirements
Capcom’s FAQ, updated October 8, 2026, directs players to the Steam store page for the current requirements. The Steam listing checked October 9, 2026, gives these specifications; check the live Steam listing before making a purchase or hardware decision because requirements can change.

The Steam listing separately says an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 is required to support ray tracing. That is a distinct requirement from the standard minimum graphics tier.

Find your Windows edition, processor, and installed RAM
- Open Settings > System > About.
- Under Device specifications, note the processor, installed RAM, and whether the system is 64-bit.
- Under Windows specifications, check your Windows version and edition. The game lists Windows 11 (64 bit).
Microsoft’s Windows device information guide describes where to find these details.

Check storage and DirectX
- Go to Settings > System > Storage to see your drives and available space. The Steam listing recommends an SSD but does not give a required capacity or drive interface.
- Search Windows for dxdiag, open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, and check the System tab for your DirectX version. Microsoft explains this in its DirectX version guide. The game lists DirectX 12.
Identify the graphics card and compare exact models
Compare the full CPU and graphics-card model names—not just a brand or series—with the table. On a desktop with a discrete graphics card, make sure you have identified that card rather than the processor’s integrated graphics. For a laptop, check the exact GPU model shown in Windows graphics or device information and verify it with the PC or GPU manufacturer.
Capcom cautions that mobile GPUs can perform worse than regular GPUs even when their names appear to meet a listed tier. It also says onboard graphics and devices that share VRAM with system memory are not guaranteed to work properly. Laptop owners should look for performance evidence for their specific device rather than assuming a similarly named desktop card will perform the same way. See Capcom’s Steam FAQ for these cautions.

What minimum and recommended mean in practice
Both tiers call for 16 GB of RAM, so RAM alone does not tell you whether your PC is a closer match for the recommended tier. The listed CPU and GPU models are different. The stated performance targets also depend on 1080p resolution, an upscaler, and Prioritize Performance graphics quality; Steam warns that frame rates may fall when processing load is high. These are store-listed specifications, not a guarantee of identical performance in every scene or on every PC.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe SSD note is a recommendation, not a complete storage specification: the listing does not state a required drive capacity or interface. Do not infer a specific drive purchase from that note alone.

If the game runs poorly after changing graphics settings
Capcom says the game may not run properly when its in-game graphics settings exceed what the PC can handle. Its FAQ documents resetting the configuration files through Steam:
- Close the game.
- In your Steam Library, open the game’s Properties.
- Select Installed Files > Browse to open the game’s installation folder.
- Rename
config.initoconfig_backup.ini. - Copy
config_default.iniand name the copyconfig.ini. - Launch the game again.
This restores the default configuration; Capcom does not present it as a fix for every performance or launch problem.
