When you change vocation, your base stats adjust to match the new vocation’s growth characteristics. That makes vocation choice relevant to how you play, not a one-time build decision you must get perfect.
How stat growth works in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Vocations have different strengths across six stats: HP, stamina, physical attack, physical defense, magic attack, and magic defense. GameWith’s comparison chart describes these differences as relative growth tendencies; it does not provide a complete numeric gain for every level. Capcom’s manual likewise describes each vocation as having its own playstyle, strengths, and weaknesses, and confirms that you can change vocations at a vocation guild. How vocations compare across stats
The following is a qualitative summary of GameWith’s chart, not a list of independently verified per-level gains. It indicates the kinds of stats each vocation tends to favor.

These tendencies can help you choose a vocation that suits your preferred combat style. They do not mean that you must follow one vocation for every level to avoid a permanently weakened character: changing vocation adjusts the base-stat profile.

Base stats versus stats from equipment
Base stats are not the same as the totals shown with equipment applied. Weapons and armor contribute to equipped stats, so a displayed total can differ from the character’s underlying base value. When comparing growth or a cap, check whether the number refers to base stats or includes gear.

Can you calculate the exact stat gain for each level?
The available guide supports qualitative comparisons and vocation-specific caps, but does not establish every level’s numeric increase, rounding rule, or a complete stat-growth formula. An exact per-level calculation should not be inferred from the relative rankings. In particular, leveling advice for the first Dragon’s Dogma should not be treated as a confirmed formula for Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to change vocation
Visit a vocation guild to change vocation. Capcom’s official manual confirms that vocation changes are available there; consult the manual for the game’s official information: Dragon’s Dogma 2 Official Web Manual.
