Droid Fusion combines three droids into one. The current community recipe lists contain 17 fixed, fusion-exclusive droids, from the Rare WHL-EX to the Mythic X-ONK. Fusion is reportedly unlocked at Rebirth 3 after patch v1.27 (August 22, 2026), but that requirement comes from a player-maintained FAQ, so verify the station and requirement in your current game.
This guide lists every known fixed combination, explains how input variants determine the result, and shows how to plan around ingredients that appear in multiple recipes. Fusion consumes all three inputs, so check your rebirth goals and other planned recipes before confirming.

What Droid Fusion does
At the Fusion Lab, you submit three droids and receive one droid. The named recipes are fixed: when the exact ingredient set is present, the corresponding fusion-exclusive droid is produced before generic Fusion outcomes are considered. Slot order does not matter, so you can place the three ingredients in any order.
The community references currently count 17 named fusion droids across four rarity tiers. Their roles are Worker, Battle, or Astromech. The recipes below use the names shown in the current fan-maintained tables; spelling and availability can change in a later game update.

Fusion is a permanent cost
Starting a fusion consumes every input droid, including duplicate copies. You cannot recover an ingredient after the result is created. Several ingredients are also used in rebirth requirements or in more than one named recipe, which makes an unplanned fusion an expensive mistake.
Unlock requirement and version status
A Droidex FAQ reports that Fusion arrived in patch v1.27 on August 22, 2026 and becomes available at Rebirth 3. This is a community report rather than an official Epic Games rules ledger. If your account does not show the Fusion Lab at Rebirth 3, check the current patch notes and the in-game progression screen instead of assuming the requirement is unchanged.
The detailed Droidex guide was reviewed October 3, 2026 for version v1.33.0. Droid Tycoon Tools says its recipe table refreshes from a community spreadsheet and is not affiliated with Epic Games. Those dates matter because a balance or content update can add, remove, or alter a recipe. Treat the Fusion Lab preview in your current client as the final authority.

Each table row shows the exact ingredient set. “2×” means two copies of the same droid. The listed rarity is the named result’s tier, not a guarantee that every input must already be that tier.

How rarity variants affect the output
For a fixed recipe, the result uses the lowest variant among its three inputs. In practical terms, two Rainbow ingredients plus one Diamond ingredient produce a Diamond result, not a Rainbow result. One lower-variant component therefore sets the ceiling for the entire fusion.
Planning a higher-variant result
- Choose the named recipe and the output variant you want.
- Inspect each of the three ingredient droids in your collection.
- Raise or replace any ingredient below the target variant.
- Confirm that all three names match the recipe exactly, including duplicate counts.
- Open the Fusion Lab preview and verify the displayed result and variant before pressing the confirmation button.
Do not assume that a high-variant pair can compensate for a lower-variant third input. The lowest input rule applies to the fixed recipe as a whole.
Generic Fusion outcomes versus named recipes
The fixed combinations above are only one part of the Fusion system. Droidex also describes two generic outcomes:

- A generic rarity upgrade: the game can produce a random droid from the next rarity.
These generic results are separate from the named recipes. Exact behavior for newer variants may depend on the current game rules, so use the Fusion Lab preview when testing a combination. If your ingredients match a fixed recipe, the fixed recipe is checked first; do not use that set for a generic upgrade unless you are willing to give up the named result.

Ingredient overlap: what to reserve first
Some droids appear in three different fixed recipes, while others appear twice. The overlap is important because fusing one copy can block a different result. The fan recipe table identifies the following counts:

Examples of conflicts
- ARG: one copy is needed for WHL-EX, while two copies are needed for ARM-CORE. Spending an ARG on WHL-EX can delay ARM-CORE unless you obtain more.
- ID10: it is part of ZRO-TEC and LUG-G. ZRO-TEC requires two copies, so a single ID10 cannot satisfy both plans.
- B1 HEAVY: N-UL uses one copy, while SRV-O uses two. Reserve three if you intend to build both results.
- GROUNDMECH: SCRP-R needs one and QIK-BIT needs two. Decide which rarity and role matters first.
- KX: RIV-3T uses one, whereas X-ONK uses two. The Mythic Battle target therefore has the larger duplicate requirement.
These examples illustrate a general rule: count the total copies required by every result you want before fusing any shared ingredient. Also check whether the same droid is listed in your next rebirth objective.
A safe decision process before pressing Fuse
- Set a goal. Pick a specific result and role: Worker, Battle, or Astromech. Do not fuse merely because three spare-looking droids are available.
- Check the rarity target. Decide whether the output’s lowest-input rule gives you the variant you actually want.
- Audit duplicates. Compare your inventory with every recipe that uses each ingredient, giving priority to ingredients with three-recipe overlap.
- Review progression needs. Confirm that none of the three droids is required for an upcoming rebirth or another unlock.
- Verify the preview. The Fusion Lab should show the intended named result. If it shows a generic upgrade or a different variant, stop and recheck names, counts, and current-version rules.
- Confirm consumption. Submit only when you accept that all inputs will disappear.
Choosing which recipe to make first
There is no universal best first fusion. Use four decision criteria:
- Availability: choose a recipe for which you already have every exact ingredient and required duplicate.
- Overlap risk: avoid consuming a three-recipe ingredient if another planned result is more important.
- Role: select Worker, Battle, or Astromech according to the gap in your roster, rather than rarity alone.
- Variant: prioritize the recipe whose inputs can all reach your intended output variant without sacrificing scarce higher-variant droids elsewhere.
A lower-tier result you can complete safely may be a better immediate choice than a Mythic recipe that consumes ingredients needed for several future plans. Conversely, if a Mythic role is required for your progression, reserve its shared components first and build around that target.

Troubleshooting a missing or incorrect result
The Fusion Lab is not available
Confirm that your account has reached the reported Rebirth 3 threshold and is running a build that includes the v1.27 Fusion update. Because the threshold is community-reported, inspect the current in-game progression requirements if the station remains locked.
The named droid does not appear in the preview
- Check every ingredient name and duplicate count; near matches do not satisfy a fixed recipe.
- Make sure you did not substitute a visually similar droid.
- Look for a current patch change, since the fan tables are version-sensitive.
- Reload the Fusion Lab and compare the displayed combination again before consuming anything.
The output variant is lower than expected
Find the lowest-variant input. That component determines the fixed recipe’s output variant, even when the other two inputs are higher. Replace or upgrade it before confirming.
A recipe worked differently after an update
Use the in-game Fusion Lab preview as the immediate check, then compare the current community tables with the version shown in their review notes. The published references are maintained by fans and can lag behind a live update.
How to keep your recipe plan current
Record the target result, role, ingredient counts, and desired variant in a simple checklist. Mark shared ingredients separately and update the checklist whenever you complete a rebirth or obtain a new variant. Before each fusion session, compare that list with the current in-game preview rather than relying on an old screenshot or memory.
