To target-farm a character, weapon, or Demon Wedge in Duet Night Abyss, unlock Covert Commissions with the side quest “Go, Geniemons!”, then choose a Secret Letter for the reward category you want. Complete an available commission and select one of its three offered rewards. For Demon Wedges, you can also run Noctoyager Manual stages; check the live reward panels before committing to either route because pools and blueprint locations can change.
How to unlock and use Covert Commissions
Covert Commissions become available after completing the side quest “Go, Geniemons!” and are accessed from the Combat menu, according to All Things How’s Covert Commissions guide.

- Complete “Go, Geniemons!” to unlock the feature.
- Open the Combat menu and choose Covert Commissions.
- Select a Secret Letter matching your goal: character, weapon, or Demon Wedge.
- Complete an available commission and pick one item from the three rewards offered.
The commission objective is reported to rotate hourly by the Epic Games Store progression guide. Treat that timing as reported behavior, not a guarantee for every version or event; check the in-game screen for the current objective and refresh timing.
How to target-farm characters and weapons
Choose a Character Secret Letter when you want a character reward, or a Weapon Secret Letter when you want a weapon reward. The letter directs you to a category-specific pool, after which the commission presents three choices. This makes the activity targeted by reward category, but it does not guarantee that a particular character or weapon appears on every completion.

Before starting, inspect the available letter and its reward details in-game. The available guides do not establish a complete, current inventory of Secret Letters or their contents, so do not assume a specific item is in the pool without checking.
How to farm Demon Wedges
There are two routes worth comparing: a Demon Wedge Secret Letter in Covert Commissions, or a Noctoyager Manual stage. Which is more useful depends on whether the desired reward is currently in the relevant pool and whether you need a targeted choice or stage materials.

Why you should verify blueprint locations in-game
Demon Wedge blueprint sources can shift between updates. The Apple App Store version listing reports that acquisition methods changed for certain blueprints, including specified items moving to Noctoyager Manual Lv.75. That notice is evidence of changes to particular items, not a complete current blueprint catalogue. Check the in-game commission and stage reward displays for the exact item you want.

Which route should you choose?
- Choose a Covert Commission when the current Demon Wedge letter contains your target and you value choosing among its offered rewards.
- Choose a Noctoyager Manual stage when its displayed reward pool includes the target or you want stage rewards that can be increased with a Commission Manual.
- Compare what the game currently shows. The sources available do not establish complete drop rates, a full stage-by-stage blueprint list, or enough run-time data to call one route universally faster.
A 2025 Epic Games Store guide gives a 10% figure for its gold-tier example of 10 Thoughts. That dated example is not a verified current rate and should not be applied to other rewards or commission pools.
