This is a historical global-launch ranking, not advice for the current meta. Duet Night Abyss has added weapons since launch, and later lists rank the roster differently. Among launch weapons, Siren’s Kiss and Elpides Abound have the strongest cross-guide case; the rest depend more heavily on weapon passives, character kits and the encounter.
Best Duet Night Abyss weapons at launch
Siren’s Kiss and Elpides Abound are the most defensible headline picks across the launch lists from All Things How, Power Up Gaming and Twinfinite. That does not make either an automatic best-in-slot choice for every character or fight: the lists use qualitative criteria rather than a shared controlled test.
Siren’s Kiss
Siren’s Kiss is a melee polearm with the Spike attack type. It appears among the highest launch picks in all three lists. All Things How gives it a maximum-damage figure of 263.6; that is a figure reported by that guide, not an independently verified or current stat.
Elpides Abound
Elpides Abound is a melee polearm with Slash damage. All Things How and Twinfinite place it in S tier. All Things How reports 276.15 maximum damage, the highest figure among the S-tier entries shown in its guide. Power Up Gaming does not provide a matching maximum-damage figure in the information available here.

Excresduo
Excresduo is a ranged dual-pistol weapon and a clear example of ranking disagreement: All Things How and Power Up Gaming place it in S or S+ tier, while Twinfinite ranks it B. All Things How reports 263.6 maximum damage. Rather than treating its tier as settled, check how its passive fits the character and weapon pairing you plan to use.
Other launch weapons worth considering
The lists do not agree on one complete ordering, so these are source-specific high-tier recommendations, not a combined consensus ranking.

| Weapon | Role, class and attack type | Reported maximum damage | Source tier or placement | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Siren’s Kiss | Melee polearm; Spike | 263.6 (All Things How, 2025) | Among the highest picks in All Things How, Power Up Gaming and Twinfinite | Strongest recurring top candidate in the launch lists; fit still depends on character and encounter. |
| Elpides Abound | Melee polearm; Slash | 276.15 (All Things How, 2025) | S tier in All Things How and Twinfinite | A strong recurring choice, but the damage figure comes from one guide only. |
| Excresduo | Ranged dual pistols; attack type not stated in the cited launch-guide details | 263.6 (All Things How, 2025) | S or S+ in All Things How and Power Up Gaming; B in Twinfinite | Rankings vary substantially; consider passive synergy rather than relying on tier alone. |
| Undying Oneiros | Class and attack type not stated in the cited guide details | 263.6 (All Things How, 2025) | S tier in All Things How | A guide-specific high-tier pick; character and encounter fit remain important. |
| Exiled Fangs | Class and attack type not stated in the cited guide details | 263.6 (All Things How, 2025) | S tier in All Things How | A guide-specific high-tier pick; character and encounter fit remain important. |
| Fathomless Sharkgaze | Class and attack type not stated in the cited guide details | 251.04 (All Things How, 2025) | S tier in All Things How | A guide-specific high-tier pick; its reported number is not directly comparable to a shared test result. |
| Wanewraith | Class and attack type not stated in the cited guide details | Not stated (All Things How) | S+ tier in Power Up Gaming | High placement in one launch list does not establish universal superiority. |
| Remanent Reminiscence | Class and attack type not stated in the cited guide details | Not stated (All Things How) | S+ tier in Power Up Gaming | High placement in one launch list does not establish universal superiority. |
| Dreamweaver’s Feather; Arclight Apocalypses; Rendhusk; Blast Artistry; Blade Amberglow; Sacred Favour; Momiji Itteki; Exiled Thunderwyrm; Vernal Jade Halberd; Punitive Inferno; Shackle of Lonewolf | Classes and attack types not stated in the cited guide details | Not stated (All Things How) | S tier in Twinfinite | These are Twinfinite recommendations, not a shared ranking across all three lists. |
The maximum-damage values above are figures published by All Things How in 2025. The other launch lists do not provide matching values in the cited details, so the numbers should not be read as a standardized comparison or as current verified stats.
Why launch tier lists disagree
All Things How describes its ranking criteria as maximum damage, attack type and class performance, while cautioning that character kits and encounters affect actual performance. Power Up Gaming describes its list in terms of overall strength, passives and utility; Twinfinite also emphasizes weapon passives. Those are different qualitative lenses, not a common test protocol.

- Class and attack type: Melee or ranged role and the attack type help explain why two weapons may perform differently for a given use.
- Encounter: A weapon that suits one fight or situation need not be the best choice everywhere.
- Tier is guidance, not proof: The large gap between Excresduo’s placements shows why a letter grade should not be treated as a universal result.
What the launch rankings cover—and what changed afterward
The lists are snapshots of the global-launch roster, not the weapon pool available in October 2026. All Things How describes characters as carrying one ranged and one melee weapon across 12 weapon classes. Power Up Gaming counted 45 weapons at global launch. Those counts come from the respective guides, not an official patch-note tally.
Official Duet Night Abyss Steam announcements document post-launch additions including Fledgling’s Plume, Aureate Drift, Dregs of Glimmer, Jagged Growl, Stifled Howl, Sanguis Sanctus and Sanguine Plume. The announcements establish additions and, for some weapons, acquisition routes; they do not endorse a tier ranking.

The official announcements state that Stifled Howl is available through forging or the shop. Sanguis Sanctus is available through forging or the shop, with its Secret Letter available through Nocturnal Echoes. Sanguine Plume, a Calamity Dual Pistols weapon, is available through forging, and its Memento is available in Immersive Theatre.
For later context, Game8’s Weapon Tier List was last updated April 9, 2026, and its search-result description names Wanewraith and Excresduo as its best weapons at that time. That is a later ranking, not an October 2026 meta assessment.

Quick Recap
How to use this list for an investment decision
- Start with the weapon’s role. Check whether you need a melee or ranged option and whether its attack type suits your intended character and encounter.
- Compare the passive and kit. The launch guides include passives among their ranking considerations, but the available information does not establish a universal passive winner. Use the in-game weapon details to assess the pairing you actually plan to play.
- Use tier placement as a shortlist. Siren’s Kiss and Elpides Abound recur near the top, while a one-list placement is a weaker basis for declaring a weapon universally best.
- Keep the date in view. A launch-era ranking cannot account for weapons added later or changes to the live game.
