Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers is a single-player blackjack roguelike from Purple Moss Collectors and publisher Yogscast Games. It turns blackjack into a changing, deck-building adventure: you face tavern locals using a corrupted ruleset and cards that go beyond a standard deck. The game launched on Steam on August 8, 2024. Its official announcement scheduled PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions for October 9, 2026; as of October 8, 2026, that console release was still upcoming.
What kind of game is Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers?
It is a single-player roguelike built around an altered version of blackjack, not a simulation of standard casino blackjack. Runs take place in a tavern whose townspeople are hooked on the game, and the rules evolve as you progress. The official Steam description calls it “a unique, corrupted version of blackjack you have never played before.” Steam store page
Rather than sticking to a conventional playing deck, the game mixes familiar cards such as aces and face cards with tarot and business cards. Building and adapting your deck is central to dealing with the game’s changing rules, opponents, and encounters. The larger story asks who is running the casino.

What can you buy digitally?
The Steam listing includes the digital game and a digital soundtrack. Prices vary by region and can change, so check the store for the current price in your currency. The official store and announcements cited here do not establish a physical edition or a game-specific physical accessory; the game’s unusual rules and card effects also mean a generic playing-card deck would not recreate its gameplay.

- One Card Dungeon is a solo dice-placement dungeon crawl played on a single card. Fight through 12 increasingly challenging levels to reach the final prize - the Sceptre of M'Guf-yn.
- Both the Adventurer and the Monsters are represented on the map by Dice, with the value on top showing their current health. Each room has one type of Monster, with anywhere from 1 to 4 of that monster to defeat in each room.
- The basic game mechanic is rolling three dice, then assigning one dice to each of your Movement, Attack and Defense. Adding together your skill levels in each of these areas with the dice you have assigned gives you a total number of points in each of these areas to spend, for example if you have a Movement skill of 3 and assign a 4 dice to it, you would have 7 Movement points to spend that turn.
- After each room, you may upgrade one of your four skills - Movement, Attack, Defense, and Range.
