Use an interactive map or location guide to look for collectibles, safe spots, safe zones, and activities such as convoys and dark zones in Dying Light: The Beast. Gamer Guides and community guides point to map resources, including MapGenie, but the available information does not establish that any one map is complete or fully updated for the latest game content. Check its markers against your game version before relying on it for a full clear.
What locations can you look for?
The surfaced guides group map information into several useful categories. These labels are a starting point for exploration, not proof that every location of that type has been marked.
- Collectibles: items to find while exploring. A Steam community guide uses the terms “collectibles” and “locations.”
- Safe spots and safe zones: distinct marker categories named by both Gamer Guides and Steam community material. Techland’s Update 1.5 notes describe a threat that can pursue the player across the map until the player reaches a safe zone or kills it, making safe-zone markers especially relevant during exploration.
- Activities: Gamer Guides lists convoys and dark zones, alongside safe zones and safe spots.
Sources: Steam community guide, Gamer Guides map listing, and Techland Update 1.5 notes.
Which map should you use?
At least two resources appear in the available guides: the Gamer Guides interactive map listing and Steam community guides that point readers to MapGenie. The sources do not provide a like-for-like coverage check, so there is no evidence-based winner.

| What to compare | How to assess it |
|---|---|
| Marker coverage | Check whether the categories you need—such as collectibles, safe spots, safe zones, convoys, or dark zones—are represented. The cited listings establish category names, not marker-by-marker completeness. |
| Freshness | Look for an update date or version context, then compare it with the game content you are playing. Restored Land added activity that can change what a location guide needs to cover. |
| Verification | Check whether suggested or user-submitted pins are confirmed. A Steam guide reported some suggested pins pending approval when it was written; that dated report does not establish their status now. |
| Usability | Try the map’s current search and filters for yourself. The cited material does not verify specific filter or search features. |
For the community report about pending pins, see the Steam guide referencing MapGenie.

Map coverage can change as the game adds content. In coverage dated March 27, 2026, Xbox Wire reported that Restored Land includes 36 new events appearing randomly along quest paths. Since those encounters are described as random, a static location pin may not represent a guaranteed event location. When a guide gives exact locations or activity counts, check which game version or content context it covers.
Xbox Wire also reported that the Restored Land package includes a detailed tourist map highlighting locations worth exploring. The report does not specify whether that map is printed or digital, or whether it is sold separately, so it should not be treated as a standalone map product. A practical way to use a location map
- Choose a category. Start with the type of marker you want—collectibles, safe spots, safe zones, or an activity—rather than assuming one map has everything.
- Check the map’s date and status. Look for version information and whether pins are verified or still suggested.
- Use pins as leads. Treat community markers as guidance, especially when their verification status or update date is unclear.
- Account for dynamic content. Random quest-path events, such as those reported for Restored Land, may not be reliably represented by a fixed pin.
- Confirm against your game. If a location or activity is missing, first consider whether the map reflects a different content version or whether the marker set is incomplete.
