When did Dying Light: The Beast come out?
Dying Light: The Beast was released on September 18, 2025. Techland’s official game page and FAQ confirm the date, and Techland’s launch announcement confirmed the game was out.
What platforms is Dying Light: The Beast on?
Techland lists the launch platforms as PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is not available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One; Techland’s current FAQ says those versions will not be released.
Why is there no PS4 or Xbox One version?
Techland attributes the decision to the technical demands of the open world, lighting, enemy density, combat, and traversal. Its FAQ explains: “This was not a choice to leave those platforms behind, but a technical limitation we could not overcome without fundamentally degrading how the game looks and plays.”

How much does Dying Light: The Beast cost?
A US PlayStation Store listing showed the PS5 version at $29.99, reduced from $59.99, when indexed. That is a regional storefront snapshot, not a guaranteed live price or a price for every edition or platform. Check the PlayStation, Xbox, or PC store for the price available in your region. No comparable current Xbox or PC price is established here.
Check platform compatibility before buying
Techland Support says cross-platform co-op and save transfer are not available between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. If you plan to play co-op with friends or continue a save on another system, coordinate on the same platform before purchasing; having co-op does not mean the game supports crossplay.
