EA said College Football 25’s Team Builder web tool would arrive “later TONIGHT” during the game’s worldwide launch period. EA dated that launch to July 19, 2024, so the announced Team Builder release was the night of July 19, 2024. Team Builder was a browser-based creation tool connected to the console game, not a separate game release.
When did College Football 25 Team Builder come out?
EA’s Team Builder deep dive said the tool would be available “later TONIGHT.” EA’s launch announcement identifies July 19, 2024, as College Football 25’s worldwide release date. Together, those statements place the announced Team Builder release on the night of July 19, 2024.

College Football 25 launched for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Team Builder itself was a website for designing a team and then importing it into the console game, rather than a standalone console app.
What could you make with Team Builder?
EA’s 2024 deep dive described tools for creating a custom college program, including its identity, uniforms, stadium, field and team details. The workflow was to build the team on the website, submit and publish it, then import it in the game.

- School identity: Set a school name, nickname, logos and team colors. EA said users could upload logos or select generic logos that could be recolored.
- Uniforms: Choose Nike, Adidas or Under Armour as the uniform provider, then customize helmets, jerseys, pants and socks. EA described five presets for each category, yielding 625 possible combinations.
- Stadium and field: Customize elements such as crowd colors, playing surface, logos, end zones, field numbers and sidelines.
- Team setup: Use roster templates, adjust playbooks and browse community creations in a download center.
The 625 figure is EA’s stated number of combinations based on its five-preset description, not an independently tested count.
How did importing a custom team work in College Football 25?
Team Builder creation happened on the web; using the finished team happened in the console game. EA’s 2024 rules differed by mode, with a specific restriction for Dynasty:

- Play Now: EA listed Play Now as a mode for using a custom program.
- Dynasty: For College Football 25, imported custom teams were limited to a private cloud Dynasty. A commissioner could import teams only when creating the league, with up to 16 custom teams allowed.
Those Dynasty details describe College Football 25’s 2024 rules and should not be taken as a statement of current-series rules.

EA’s current Team Builder help guide says the web tool is accessed through a desktop browser on Windows or macOS; phones, tablets and Chromebooks are not supported. It also lists an EA Account and an internet connection as requirements. Because the guide covers the current College Football series, these are current access instructions—not a verified list of College Football 25 launch-day requirements.
