EA SPORTS FC 25’s Season Finale Update, also called Title Update #15, made three targeted gameplay adjustments: it improved accuracy on certain Ground Passes, reduced goalkeeper acceleration with Rush Out, and slightly improved shooting-input header accuracy. In Ultimate Team, a Player Item can have up to five PlayStyle+ assignments. EA published its notes on June 2, 2025, describing the update as coming soon; that date does not establish an exact rollout time.
What changed in gameplay?
EA’s notes describe qualitative adjustments rather than numerical ones. They do not provide percentage changes, frame counts, or measured before-and-after results, so the stated effects should not be read as guarantees about how a particular match will play.

Ground Passes
EA moderately increased Ground Pass accuracy for players with high Passing-related Attributes. Driven Ground Passes were expressly unaffected. EA said the aim was to narrow the gap between players whose passing is strong because of their Attributes and players who benefit from passing-related PlayStyles. Clean inputs and defensive pressure still matter. EA’s official Pitch Notes include the team’s explanation: “We want passing to feel authentic in FC 25, and we want players who pass the ball well in real life to pass it well in our game too.”
Goalkeeper Rush Out
The update reduced goalkeeper acceleration when using Rush Out. The size of the change depended on the PlayStyle tier:

EA said feedback indicated that Rush Out PlayStyle+ keepers were too effective at closing down attackers. The adjustment was intended to make one-on-ones more balanced and encourage more defensive-strategy variety. It changed acceleration; EA did not say the ability to rush out was removed.
Shooting-input headers
EA slightly increased accuracy for headers performed with the shooting input, responding to feedback that headers should be a more viable attacking option. The notes caution that the change is not intended to make every header a goal.

How many PlayStyle+ can an Ultimate Team item have?
Title Update #15 raised the maximum number of PlayStyle+ assignments on an Ultimate Team Player Item to five. Five is a ceiling, not a promise that every item with multiple PlayStyles+ will have five. EA also noted that more PlayStyle+ indicators may appear in the item interface. The EA SPORTS FC Team put it this way: “Of course this doesn’t mean that every Player Item with multiple PlayStyles+ will have five of them, it just means that five is the new max.”
Season 8 Evolution eligibility is a separate limit
The five-PlayStyle+ ceiling applies to Player Items generally; the Season 8 Evolution requirements listed by EA set their own eligibility caps. Those caps do not reduce the overall item maximum.

What else was included?
- EA listed the final set of Live Start Points for the season.
- Player Career added ICON options Birgit Prinz, George Best, Johan Cruyff, and Garrincha.
- Manager Career 5v5 Youth Tournament matches gained co-op for up to four players using Side Select.
- The Fixtures & Results interface was refreshed, and the main menu received a season-themed update.
When was Title Update #15 released?
EA’s Season Finale Update Pitch Notes are dated June 2, 2025, and said the update was releasing soon. The publication date alone does not specify when it reached each platform or player. The notes list PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. These are the changes EA attributed to Title Update #15; later updates may have altered FC 25’s gameplay balance.
