For attacking options, Destructoid’s July 2024 shortlist includes Paulo Dybala and Phil Foden; RealSport101 highlights Diogo Jota. For a more all-round midfield option, RealSport101 recommends Ruud Gullit. Check your exact item against the in-game requirements and preview its upgrades before committing.
Is FUTTIES Countdown still available?
Its current availability is not established here. FUTTIES Countdown was a time-limited FC 24 Evolution reported during Season 8 in July 2024, so do not assume it can still be activated. Check the Evolution screen in FC 24 for the slot’s availability, entry costs, requirements, and expiry. EA’s general Evolutions guidance explains that in-game screens show activation and completion windows, but it does not verify the present status of this specific slot.

Which players are worth considering?
There is no source-backed universal winner. Destructoid reported more than 500 eligible options in July 2024; that is the outlet’s historical figure, not a current count from EA. Its shortlist and RealSport101’s featured choices serve as candidates to compare, not a tested ranking.

To choose between them, first confirm your exact item is eligible. Then compare the resulting attributes and PlayStyles in the Evolution preview against a role your squad actually needs. An attacking candidate may be a better fit than a midfielder for one lineup, while another squad may value Gullit’s all-round profile. The cited recommendations are historical editorial picks, not results from a controlled gameplay comparison.

These are historical requirements. If the Evolution is available in your game, its live entry screen takes precedence; verify the exact version of the card and all five limits there.

How did you complete the three levels?
The historical challenge path used Squad Battles, Rivals, or Champions matches on at least Semi-Pro difficulty where applicable. The active Evolution player had to be used, and some objectives specifically required that player to score.
- Level 1: Play two eligible matches with the active Evolution player and win two eligible matches.
- Level 2: Play three eligible matches, win two, and score four goals with the active Evolution player.
- Level 3: Play two eligible matches and win three matches by at least two goals.
The objectives are reported by Destructoid and corroborated by RealSport101. Because the match and win counts differ by level, check the objective text in-game if this slot is available.

Applying an Evolution has an item-management cost. EA’s official guidance states, “When you submit a Player Item to a standard Evolution slot, it becomes untradeable while the Evolution is applied.” EA also says an active Evolution item cannot be discarded or submitted to an SBC, and removing an Evolution is final. Review the item, the projected result, and any unlock cost before submission.
- Confirm the exact card meets every live entry requirement.
- Use the in-game preview to check the projected attributes and PlayStyles for that item.
- Decide whether making the card untradeable during the Evolution and unavailable for SBC use is acceptable.
- Check the activation and completion windows shown in-game; incomplete levels do not grant their upgrades after expiry under EA’s general Evolution rules.
For the broader rules on checking requirements and costs, previewing Evolution paths, and managing active Evolutions, consult EA Help’s Evolutions guidance.
