EA’s March 10, 2025 announcement for FC 25 Title Update 10 made Low Driven Shot the headline gameplay addition, alongside smaller adjustments and fixes. Ultimate Team was set to receive the Roma Trio, Franz Beckenbauer, Super Sub item effects and a target-scoring Friendly; Clubs, Career Mode, teams and presentation also had changes announced. EA explicitly said the update was not a major balance overhaul. EA’s Pitch Notes described several features as coming later or through a Server Release, so their announced timing should not be read as confirmation of when each feature became available.
What changed in the Legends Return update?
In the March 10, 2025 Pitch Notes, EA described Title Update 10 as a set of smaller tweaks and issue fixes rather than a major balance change. The central gameplay addition was Low Driven Shot, with more limited tuning to passing and clearances. The notes also announced mode-specific content and presentation updates. Some items were slated for a later Server Release or described as arriving soon or in the near future.

What did the gameplay changes do?
Low Driven Shot PlayStyle and PlayStyle+
EA announced the new Low Driven Shot PlayStyle and its stronger PlayStyle+ version. The stated goal was to make precise shots more consistent when the shooting input is pressed briefly. EA said the regular PlayStyle significantly increases shot accuracy and moderately increases ball travel speed and how quickly a player performs the requested shot; the Plus version applies the same effects more strongly.
EA listed availability in Football Ultimate Team, Career Mode—Youth Academy players and Player Career—and Clubs. In Clubs, the regular PlayStyle had no level restriction, while Low Driven Shot+ was slated to unlock at level 110.

Precision Lob Passes and clearance headers
EA moderately reduced the accuracy of fully powered Precision Lob Passes, saying the change was intended to make them more authentic and reduce their use in kick-off scenarios. Clearance-header accuracy was significantly increased to give players a better chance to clear danger. EA presented both as smaller adjustments, not a broad balance overhaul.
Two issue fixes
- AI defenders and offside situations: In some potential offside situations, defenders could prioritize holding the offside line over pressing the player carrying the ball. EA said it fixed this behavior and clarified that the change was not intended as a general improvement to AI defending.
- Goalkeeper animations: EA addressed incorrect save animations that could occur against tight-angle near-post shots, ahead of the introduction of Low Driven Shot.
What was announced for Ultimate Team?
The Roma Trio returns
Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo and Gervinho were announced for a return in FUT. Their Streets Won’t Forget versions were slated to become available through Objectives and Evolutions from Friday, March 14, during FUT Birthday Week 2. FUT Birthday Hero versions were to enter the pack item pool. EA specified that the trio’s base versions would not enter the FC 25 pack pool.

Franz Beckenbauer joins the item pool
EA announced Beckenbauer’s Base ICON for the pack item pool on Friday, March 21, as part of UEFA Dreamchasers. His first campaign version was announced for Friday, April 4, during FUT Immortals. These dates are the schedules stated in the March 2025 announcement.
Super Sub item effects
EA said Super Sub Player Items would receive full Chemistry when substituted on in the second half or later. Under the same conditions, their Role Familiarity at Role+ would rise to Role++. For either benefit, the item had to be substituted into the match at its primary or alternate position. The Pitch Notes described these effects as arriving in the near future, rather than giving a specific release date.

Targets Live UT Friendly
The announced Targets Live Friendly put targets in the corners of each team’s net. Scoring into a target counted as two goals and destroyed that target; each player could score up to four additional goals by hitting all four targets. EA said the format was intended to encourage strategic shot placement and use of Low Driven Shot. The notes said it would arrive through a Server Release soon, without specifying a date.

Clubs progression and Facilities
EA announced 20 additional Clubs levels, bringing the progression ceiling to level 120. Each level awarded one Skill Point, except level 120, which awarded five; EA said the added levels therefore provided 24 additional Skill Points in total. Low Driven Shot+ was set to unlock at level 110, while regular Low Driven Shot had no level restriction. Two Facilities were announced: Low Driven Drill and Strength Drill. EA said Strength Drill provides Block PlayStyle+.

Career Mode
- The Central tab was updated to show upcoming fixtures and current standings.
- Task List text was made smaller.
- Youth Academy players could develop Low Driven Shot in Manager Career, and the PlayStyle could be unlocked in Player Career.
- Player Career’s ICON selection was to be updated to include players such as Beckenbauer.
Teams and match modes
Canada’s Women’s National Team was announced for Kick Off, Online Friendlies and Online Seasons. Classic XI returned to Kick Off and Online Friendlies, with legends including Beckenbauer, Pelé, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff.
Presentation updates
EA announced 69 updated star heads, to follow a Server Release, along with two new celebrations. Gareth Bale was to receive specific free-kick and penalty animations, and the main menu was to feature a vintage theme with Beckenbauer, Pelé, Maradona and Cruyff. EA also described pre-match SuperFans scenes for Dortmund, Liverpool, Boca Juniors and Angel City FC.

How to interpret the March 2025 announcement
The Pitch Notes are a record of what EA announced on March 10, 2025, not a live status page. They use distinct timing language: some items were associated with the Title Update, while others were separately slated for a Server Release or described as arriving soon or in the near future.
