If EA SPORTS FC 24 goes straight to kickoff instead of showing the traditional lineup walkout, EA says the shorter introduction is an intentional presentation change in Manager and Player Career Mode—not a confirmed general bug. The game shortened its intro scenes and moved lineup and formation information earlier to get players into matches sooner.
Why the lineup walkout is missing
EA SPORTS FC Team explained that FC 24 changed how lineups and formations are presented in Manager and Player Career Mode. In an official EA Forums response, the team said: “In FC 24, we shortened the intro scenes and presented that important information and context upfront.”

EA described the aim as making the entry into a match smoother and quicker while retaining anticipation and atmosphere. It also acknowledged that players valued the fuller matchday presentation and said the team would continue gathering feedback and evaluating future changes. That is not a promise that a setting or later update would restore the previous walkout.
Does this apply to every mode and platform?
EA’s explanation names Manager and Player Career Mode. It does not provide a behavior chart for Kick Off, other modes, console generations, PC, or Nintendo Switch. So if you are seeing a different intro, first note the exact mode and platform rather than assuming the Career Mode explanation covers your case.

The official material checked does not establish whether a later FC 24 patch or a particular platform version changed the presentation. A mode- or platform-specific issue remains possible, but the available official explanation does not establish a general lineup-intro bug.
Can a setting restore the old intro?
EA’s FC 24 support hub links to general troubleshooting resources, but does not identify missing lineup scenes as a fault or provide a procedure to restore them. EA’s accessibility information discusses customization and settings but does not document a control for bringing back the extended lineup introduction.

On PC, EA’s update page lists “Cutscene Quality” under Video Calibration. EA does not connect that setting to lineup displays, so changing it is not an established fix for a missing lineup intro.

If your behavior does not match the Career Mode change EA described, give support or other players enough detail to distinguish it from that intentional presentation:

- The game mode, such as Manager Career, Player Career, or Kick Off.
- Your platform and, where relevant, console generation.
- What appears before kickoff and what you expected to see.
- Whether the behavior happens consistently or only in a particular match or mode.
EA’s FC 24 support hub is the official game-specific starting point for general help. The referenced FC 24 accessibility resources and FC 24 PC update information do not document a lineup-intro restoration procedure.
