Its final calculation covered 2024/25 Serie A matches except matchday 38.

That makes the awards useful evidence for a retrospective performance case, but not a direct proxy for an EA item decision. The league’s method and EA’s Ultimate Team selection are different things.
Paz: a distinct young-player case
Nico Paz won the league’s Under-23 MVP award. That recognition makes him a strong candidate to discuss, especially when considering a squad’s younger standout players. It does not establish his position in EA’s released team or the design of any item.

Retegui and Kean: the clearest scoring evidence
Retegui led the 2024/25 Serie A scoring chart with 25 goals; Kean was second with 19, according to Lega Serie A’s June 18 recap. The league noted that two Italians had led the scoring chart for the first time since 2013/14. These totals give both forwards a straightforward attacking case, while leaving EA’s selection and ratings undecided.

EA’s May 19 announcement confirms the release date and says the campaign would finish with Ultimate TOTS, a re-released team gathering items revealed during the campaign. It does not contain the complete Serie A squad, its formation or item ratings in the accessible text. A player-by-player accuracy score or official-XI comparison cannot be established from that announcement alone.
