That means you can no longer use these apps to manage an FC 26 Ultimate Team. This guide explains what the FC 26 apps offered, how players accessed them during that game’s season, and what to check if you are trying to use the current FC 27 apps instead.
What were the FC 26 Web and Companion Apps?
EA described the Web App as a browser-based way to manage an Ultimate Team club away from the game. The Companion App provided mobile access on iOS and Android. Both required the EA Account associated with the player’s FC 26 gameplay. EA’s FC 26 app guide covered signing in and the launch schedule.

These are historical FC 26 details, not instructions for an app that still connects to FC 26.
What could players manage in the Companion App?
EA’s FC 26 product page described several club-management features. Availability could depend on the account and EA’s access rules; the page’s feature list is not a guarantee that every feature was available to every player.

- Squad preparation: customise tactics, including Roles and Focuses for the starting XI.
- Squad Building Challenges: exchange eligible club players for players, packs, or customisation options.
- Evolutions: improve or customise player items. EA listed goalkeeper Evolutions and animation previews as new features for that season.
- Transfer Market: buy and sell players remotely, subject to account access.
- Stadium presentation: change elements such as walkout music, goal celebrations, pyrotechnics, and tifos.

How FC 26 app access worked during its season
During the FC 26 season, players opened the Web App in a browser or downloaded the Companion App for iOS or Android, then signed in with the EA Account they used to play FC 26. EA’s launch guide listed these milestones:

- September 17, 2025: the FC 26 Web App came online.
- September 18, 2025: the FC 26 Companion App became available.
- November 14, 2025, at 11:59:50 p.m. UTC: EA’s guide said players had to log in to FC 26 Ultimate Team on PC or console at least once by this cutoff to continue using both apps.
For the initial FC 26 early start, EA required an existing FC 25 account in good standing and a club created on the player’s platform before August 1, 2025. Qualifying players could create their FC 26 club and begin trading before the game launched. These were launch-season conditions, not current access rules.
Why the Transfer Market could be unavailable in an app
Signing into an app and having permission to use its Transfer Market are separate issues. EA distinguishes in-game market access from Web and Companion App market access; earning access in the game does not automatically unlock the apps.

In-game access and app access are separate gates
EA’s current Graduated Access guidance says new FC players complete three Ultimate Team objectives for in-game Transfer Market access: The Journey Begins, First Team Dreams, and Rising Through the Ranks. After completing them, EA says full in-game access follows within 48 hours on PC or 24 hours on other platforms. While waiting, players can list items but cannot search or bid or buy now.
App market permission is a separate decision. EA states: “Completing Graduated Access doesn’t automatically unlock access on the Web and Companion apps.” A player may therefore be able to use the in-game market but not the app market.

How EA describes earning app access
EA’s current guidance describes an “active day” as a UTC calendar day on which a player completes three full Ultimate Team matches and logs into a Web or Companion App. Playing more than three matches in a day does not improve the chance of earning access.
EA gives these examples, not guaranteed unlock schedules: a good-standing account with no other Ultimate Team account created or used on that device normally earns access after two active days. If other UT accounts have been used on the device, EA says access normally takes at least four active days; additional accounts can make it take longer.

For FC 27, EA says returning players might qualify if their account is in good standing and they earned Transfer Market access in FC 26 before August 1, 2026. EA lists the FC 27 Web App start as September 16, 2026, and the Companion App start as September 17, 2026.

- Confirm the account. Sign in with the EA Account linked to the Ultimate Team club. If you cannot identify it or access it, use the account-finding and password help linked from EA’s FC 26 app guide.
- Check the title and app availability. FC 26 apps are no longer available for FC 26. For the currently supported apps, consult EA’s FC 27 notices and confirm that you are using the right title’s app.
- Separate a login problem from market permission. If you can open the app but cannot search, bid, or buy, check EA’s current Transfer Market eligibility guidance. In-game access does not itself grant app access.
- Check for an account restriction. EA says an FC 26 Transfer Market ban does not carry over to FC 27, but a franchise ban does. If EA says your FC 27 account is banned, check the email associated with your EA Account and follow EA’s account-security or appeal guidance.
Can you still use the FC 26 Companion App?
No. EA says the FC 26 Web App went offline September 11, 2026, and that its Web and Companion Apps became FC 27-only on September 17, 2026. The historical FC 26 setup steps and features above cannot restore FC 26 app access.
