EA Sports FC Mobile 27 launched on September 24, 2026, alongside the game’s third-anniversary celebration. The “Version 26 drops tomorrow” timing is no longer current: EA’s latest update is FC Mobile 27, and its anniversary event was announced as a month-long celebration. The update adds Gauntlet and a tactical Game Plans system, alongside gameplay and presentation changes.
When did the FC Mobile 27 update and anniversary event start?
EA announced the FC Mobile 27 Season Update and third-anniversary celebration for September 24, 2026. Its August 28 announcement described a month-long celebration featuring updated squads, new kits, gameplay innovations and in-game event content. EA’s anniversary announcement and its September 24 update notes establish the date and scope.

Those are announced dates, not confirmation that each activity or reward is still available. Check the in-game event hub for current availability and any remaining event time.
What does Gauntlet Mode add?
Gauntlet is a round-based PvE challenge built around both squad construction and match play. EA’s FC Mobile 27 patch notes describe runs made up of match nodes, each with objectives, traits and game-changing modifiers. Player Items have limited appearances during a run, so the mode asks you to rotate your squad rather than rely on the same players throughout.

Progress earns stars and milestone rewards. EA’s notes explain the mode’s structure, but they do not establish independent performance findings or guarantee a particular reward for every player; consult the in-game rules for the run you enter.
How do Game Plans work?
Game Plans combine formation and mentality. EA lists five mentality tiers: Ultra Defensive, Defensive, Balanced, Attacking and Ultra Attacking. You can switch formations during a match, and the game automatically adjusts player positions for the selected shape.

EA says mentality also changes team width, attacking runs and the defensive baseline line height. The system is intended to let players alter their tactical identity during a match; how those adjustments feel in play will depend on your squad and situation. The feature description is EA’s, not an independent gameplay test.
Which gameplay and presentation changes are in the update?
Two new PlayStyles
- Incisive Through Pass: EA says through balls have improved target selection and greater lead distance.
- Dead Ball: EA says free kicks gain curl, pace, dip and control to bend around a wall toward the target.
Other gameplay tuning
The patch notes also list changes to finesse-shot foot selection, short-range headers, Bruiser ball protection, Manager Mode shooting decisions, teammate defensive positioning, Deflector angles, attacking runs near offside, triggered runs just after kickoff, corner positioning by mentality, goalkeeper positioning at direct free kicks and free-kick outcomes tied more closely to player attributes. These are EA’s descriptions of the changes, not independently measured results.

Updated visuals and celebrations
EA lists refreshed entrance animations, information tooltips and gameplay guidance. Five named goal celebrations are Predator, Fist Pump, Flex, Rockstar and Tuxedo.
Can your phone or tablet run the latest FC Mobile?
EA warns that device requirements can change and that some devices may not run the newest version. Its FC Mobile system requirements page, updated August 17, 2026, listed iOS 13.0 and later and Android 6.0 and later at that time. The same page said the minimum would rise after the Fall update to iOS 15.0 and Android 7.0.

Check EA’s live requirements page against your exact device before updating. Meeting an operating-system minimum does not mean every device will deliver the same performance: EA also lists unsupported GPU families or models and distinguishes device support for higher frame rates and 1440 resolution.
