Who is Jeff Drobick?
Earn Alliance described Drobick in its announcement as the former president and CEO of Tapjoy, a mobile advertising and monetization company known for rewarded engagement. Earn Alliance said he would bring traditional gaming experience and industry relationships to its operations. The announcement presented that experience as relevant to developers’ longstanding concerns around acquiring users and monetizing games.
Earn Alliance CEO Joseph “Coop” Cooper said Drobick’s track record at Tapjoy and understanding of gaming engagement made him a fit for the company’s growth plans. Drobick, speaking about joining Earn Alliance on September 4, 2024, said user acquisition and monetization remained priorities for developers “from indie to the largest publishers.” Earn Alliance’s announcement contains both statements.
What does Earn Alliance do?
Earn Alliance characterized itself as a Web3 game aggregator and discovery platform: a service intended to help players find games and engage with them, while connecting game communities and developers. Drobick framed his role as bringing a Web2, free-to-play perspective to problems Earn Alliance was approaching through Web3 and play-to-earn. In a September 2024 LinkedIn post, he said, “Earn Alliance is solving for some of the same problems I’m seeing, but coming at them from a Web3/play-to-earn perspective.” Drobick’s post gives his own framing of the move.

The distinction is about operating models, not evidence that one approach produces better results. Free-to-play games commonly focus on attracting players and monetizing engagement within a game. A discovery platform can add a layer for finding games and engaging with their communities; a Web3 or play-to-earn approach may incorporate blockchain-linked assets or rewards. The announcement describes the perspectives Drobick and Earn Alliance brought together, but does not quantify their relative performance.

The available announcements establish that Drobick was named COO in 2024. They do not confirm his current role in October 2026, provide a current user count, or independently establish the present status of Earn Alliance.
