To complete “Let’s Play a Game” in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, speak with Sago outside the Eastern Temple in Eastern Hyrule Field, solve the Spark-routing puzzles, defeat Smog, then return to Sago. Smog drops a Piece of Heart; Sago gives you the Ancient Charm after you report back.
Where to start “Let’s Play a Game”
Find the Eastern Temple in Eastern Hyrule Field, east of Hyrule Castle Town. Speak with Sago, the archaeologist standing outside the entrance, to start the side quest. He is investigating a strange noise inside the temple.

The quest becomes available after you leave the Suthorn region and clear Suthorn Ruins. You do not need to complete Gerudo Sanctum or Jabul Ruins first; tackling those dungeons beforehand is simply a guide’s recommendation for having more hearts.
How to solve the Eastern Temple Spark puzzles
The temple’s central mechanic is directing Sparks into yellow blocks. If you do not already have Spark Echo, defeat a Spark in the first room to learn it. Ranged Echoes or other attacks can help you defeat it.

First yellow-block room
Guide Sparks into the yellow block to open the way forward. A Spark may enter the block without help. If it does not, use Bind to reposition boulders and steer Sparks toward the target, or create Spark Echoes to supply more Sparks.
Raised yellow-block room
The next puzzle uses the same idea, but the block is higher. Arrange the boulders and ramp so Sparks can travel up to it. Adjust the route if a Spark cannot reach the block; the goal is to give it a clear path.

Optional chest room and remaining route
The room to the right has Octoroks and a chest puzzle. Use projectile-capable Echoes against the enemies, then route Sparks through the room to activate its block. The route also includes a west-side chest containing Rock Salt, a side-on underground section, and an underwater chest before the boss room.
How to beat Smog
Smog begins as one cloud. Damage it with projectiles, Swordfighter Form, or effective Echoes. Use the room’s walls and objects to protect Zelda and find a good position to attack.
Reunite the three clouds
After taking damage, Smog splits into three clouds. Use Bind on boulders or other objects to get the pieces to collide and reform. Once Smog is whole again, attack it.
Reunite the five clouds
Smog later splits into five pieces. As before, use Bind and the room’s objects to bring the pieces together, then damage Smog when it reforms. The key in both split phases is to reunite the clouds before trying to deal damage.

Quest rewards and what happens next
Defeating Smog earns rupees and a Piece of Heart. Leave the temple and speak with Sago again to report your victory and receive the Ancient Charm. Completing this quest also contributes to unlocking a later Faron Wetlands side quest, available after the relevant Faron Temple progression.
