EB Games Canada’s concept store at Cours Mont-Royal, 1455 Peel Street in Montreal, opened to the public at noon on October 16, 2025. The location combines games, trading cards, collectibles and accessories with EBX, an in-store space for demos and brand activations. Les Cours Mont-Royal currently lists the store as open.
Where is the EB Games concept store in Montreal?
It is inside Cours Mont-Royal at 1455 Peel Street, Montreal. EB Games Canada announced the location in October 2025 as a new concept store. Les Cours Mont-Royal now describes it as open and calls it the largest EB Games in Canada; that size characterization is the venue’s claim, and its page does not provide measurements or a comparison.

EB Games Canada’s October 14, 2025 announcement described the store as the company’s first new EB Games location since Quebec entrepreneur Stephan Tétreault acquired GameStop Canada in June 2025. The release said EB Games had more than 185 stores across Canada at that time; this is the retailer’s 2025 figure, not a verified current store count.
When did it open?
The public opening was Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. EB Games’ announcement promoted special activations, exclusive gifts for early arrivals and launch-day offers. MobileSyrup reported that gifts with purchases were offered to the first 100 customers, alongside raffles for exclusive prizes and product showcases from Nintendo, Pokémon and Bandai Namco. Those were opening-day promotions, not confirmed ongoing offers.

What is inside the store, and what does EBX mean?
EB Games presented the store as a destination for gamers, collectors and pop-culture fans, with video games, trading cards, collectibles and accessories. EBX is the in-store event hub: the retailer said partner brands, including Nintendo and Pokémon, would host live demos, mini-events, exclusive activations and first-to-market launches. The current Les Cours Mont-Royal store page also describes hands-on game demos and live Nintendo and Pokémon activations.
In the opening announcement, owner and CEO Stephan Tétreault said, “This new location was born from the desire to bring back a beloved brand and a unique in-store experience.” He added, “Our goal is to turn every visit into a moment to remember, not just a shopping trip.”
