Headquarters upgrades in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes require more than HQ funds and materials: the Drafting Studio can also gate a panel behind a recruit, a minimum HQ level, story progress, or another development panel. The exact costs verified here cover the three HQ level upgrades and selected development panels—not every entry in the 118-panel tree. Check the panel in your own Drafting Studio for its full current requirements.
How Headquarters development requirements work
Use the Drafting Studio to inspect the upgrade you want. Treat the displayed requirements as a checklist: HQ funds, materials, any named recruit or manager, the minimum HQ level, and prerequisite panels. Development follows a connected tree, so completing one panel may open others; a locked panel may still need a recruit or story progress after its visible predecessor is complete. See the Drafting Studio panel guide for the tree overview.
HQ level upgrade requirements
The Drafting Studio table reports these requirements for raising the Headquarters level:
| Upgrade | HQ funds | Materials | Ally requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 → 2 | 6,400 | Food × 100 | 26 allies |
| Level 2 → 3 | 11,760 | Excellent Lacquer × 4 | 46 allies |
| Level 3 → 4 | 38,400 | Food × 380; Pelt × 60; Legendary Beast Horn × 2 | 100 allies |
These are the reported HQ-level gates, not a list of costs for every facility or development panel. Check the Drafting Studio table and your in-game panel before spending resources.

Verified development panel examples
Individual facilities and capacity upgrades can impose additional requirements beyond the HQ-level gates. These examples show how the requirements combine:
| Panel | Cost and materials | Other requirements or dependencies |
|---|---|---|
| Build Smithy | 1,000 HQ funds; Stone × 50 | Douglas; HQ Level 1 → 2; Treasury Capacity 1 |
| Treasury Capacity 1 | 800 HQ funds; Iron Ore × 4 | Build Treasury; unlocks Build Smithy, Establish Farm, and Treasury Capacity 2 |
| Build Workshop | 1,960 HQ funds; Platinum Ore × 5; Excellent Lacquer × 4 | Syd; HQ Level 2 → 3; Hero’s Den Renovation |

How to progress when a panel is locked
- Open the Drafting Studio and select the target panel. Record every listed fund and material cost, plus any recruit, level, story, or prerequisite condition.
- Follow the panel dependencies. If a prerequisite is not available, inspect connected panels and develop the required branch first. Treasury Capacity 1, for example, requires Build Treasury and opens several further panels.
- Check recruit and story conditions separately. A connected path alone may not satisfy a named ally or story-progress requirement; the Smithy and Workshop examples each name a required recruit.
- Build up the required funds and materials. HQ funds accrue from Headquarters facilities at intervals, and selling resources can supplement them. See Headquarters Funds.
- Watch storage and treasury capacity while gathering. The walkthrough notes that materials and treasury capacity are limited and that excess resources can be discarded. Expanding capacity and checking what is stored can help avoid losing surplus while you wait or gather. See the Headquarters Development and Materials walkthrough.
What this guide does—and does not—cover
The Drafting Studio reference lists 118 development panels, but the verified entries available here do not establish every panel’s cost, recruit, level gate, or dependency. Use the tables above for the stated requirements and treat the in-game Drafting Studio as the source to verify other panels before planning a full build order. A Japanese reference option is the Hyaku Eiyuden Official Perfect Guide, listed as a 528-page book released July 29, 2024; availability may vary. See its reference entry.

- Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values. By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there.
- Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further. It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends.
