Get the Bolt of Gransax in Leyndell before defeating Maliketh. Maliketh’s defeat changes Leyndell into the Ashen Capital, and the weapon can no longer be collected in that playthrough. Which weapons count for the Legendary Armaments achievement?
The base-game achievement requires these nine weapons—not every weapon that looks legendary or every item in a legendary category. What is the safest order to collect them?
There is no required character level or single mandatory route established by these guides. Use area visits to gather nearby items, but treat the Leyndell pickup as the hard priority: do not progress past Maliketh without it.
- On a visit to the Weeping Peninsula, defeat Leonine Misbegotten at Castle Morne for the Grafted Blade Greatsword.
- In Liurnia, explore Caria Manor’s rooftops and platforms for the Sword of Night and Flame.
- Check Redmane Castle for the Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible Knight. If the duo is missing during the Radahn Festival, use the recovery steps below.
- Choose when to get Devourer’s Scepter: take it from Bernahl early if you accept losing his Volcano Manor contracts, or preserve those contracts and pursue his Farum Azula invasion.
- As soon as Leyndell is accessible, loot the Bolt of Gransax near Erdtree Sanctuary. Make this your priority before defeating Maliketh.
- When the relevant late-game areas are available, collect Marais Executioner’s Sword at the Shaded Castle and Eclipse Shotel at Castle Sol.
- Reach the Consecrated Snowfield and defeat Misbegotten Crusader in the Cave of the Forlorn for the Golden Order Greatsword.
- Finish Ranni’s questline to receive the Dark Moon Greatsword at Moonlight Altar.
Is Bolt of Gransax missable?
Yes. The September 2026 checklist says defeating Maliketh turns Leyndell into the Ashen Capital, buries the dragon corpse, and makes the spear unavailable in that playthrough. Push Square also warns that late story progression can close access, recommending collection before agreeing to burn the Erdtree. The guides frame the precise cutoff differently; the conservative instruction is to take it as soon as Leyndell is reachable and certainly before Maliketh. What if the Redmane Castle duo is gone?
The Ruins Greatsword boss fight depends on Redmane Castle’s state. If the Radahn Festival has begun, defeat Radahn, then return to the castle. The checklist recommends resting and resetting the castle or speaking to Jerren if the encounter still has not returned; Push Square also advises defeating Radahn and revisiting. Should you kill Bernahl early for Devourer’s Scepter?
Killing Bernahl at Warmaster’s Shack is the early route to the scepter, but it costs access to his Volcano Manor assassination contracts. If you want those contracts, leave him alive and pursue the weapon through his invasion in Crumbling Farum Azula instead. How do you get the Dark Moon Greatsword?
Complete Ranni’s questline and claim the weapon at Moonlight Altar. It is a quest reward, so searching for a standalone enemy drop will not provide it. Elden Ring Wiki checklist
