The set belongs to the original base-game item collection, although it can be collected in an edition bundled with Shadow of the Erdtree.
There are eight Legendary Talismans to collect in the original Elden Ring. They are the items required for the game’s “Legendary Talismans” achievement or trophy objective. The set is not a category of every powerful talisman, and owning a lower-tier version with a similar name does not count.

This guide covers the base game’s eight-item collection: Radagon Icon, Radagon’s Soreseal, Godfrey Icon, Moon of Nokstella, Old Lord’s Talisman, Marika’s Soreseal, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, and Erdtree’s Favor +2. The list applies to the original Elden Ring item set, not Elden Ring Nightreign’s separate equipment system. The items can also be collected while playing an edition bundled with Shadow of the Erdtree; the expansion is not required for this achievement.

You do not need to equip all eight at once. The objective is tied to acquiring the correct items. If the achievement does not trigger, check the exact names carefully—especially the two Soreseals, Erdtree’s Favor’s upgrade level, and the Dragoncrest talisman’s tier.

1. Radagon Icon: Academy of Raya Lucaria
Effect: Shortens the casting time of sorceries and incantations.
Start at the Debate Parlor Site of Grace in the Academy of Raya Lucaria. This is the arena where you fight the Red Wolf of Radagon. Leave the Debate Parlor and follow the exterior path rather than continuing through the normal academy route. Work your way around the outside, climb the ladder, and look for the broken window that lets you enter the upper part of the building.
Inside, follow the upper-level path to a treasure chest. Open it to obtain Radagon Icon.

- Exit into the courtyard and take the exterior route around the building.
- Climb the ladder and enter through the broken window.
- Reach the upper level and open the chest.
The most common mistake here is searching the Debate Parlor itself. The chest is reached from above, through the exterior approach and broken window.
2. Radagon’s Soreseal: Fort Faroth
Effect: Increases Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity by 5 each, while also increasing the damage you take.
Travel to Fort Faroth in Caelid. Enter the fort and move through its dangerous interior until you can climb to or drop through the roof openings. The route involves crossing the roof and dropping down through the fort rather than simply following a ground-level corridor.
Continue through the interior and use the drop-down route to reach the room containing the corpse with Radagon’s Soreseal. Loot it to claim the talisman.

It is particularly risky in areas where enemies already deal heavy damage. That build consideration does not affect the achievement: the required item is still the talisman’s name, not whether you use it.
3. Godfrey Icon: Golden Lineage Evergaol
Effect: Enhances charged spells and skills.
Godfrey Icon is a boss reward rather than a chest pickup. Find the Golden Lineage Evergaol in Altus Plateau and enter it using a Stonesword Key. Inside, defeat Godefroy the Grafted. The boss reward is Godfrey Icon.
Because the talisman comes directly from the Evergaol boss, searching nearby ruins or chests will not produce it. If you have defeated other versions of the Grafted enemy elsewhere, that does not substitute for Godefroy’s Golden Lineage Evergaol reward.
4. Moon of Nokstella: Nokstella, Eternal City
Effect: Adds two memory slots for spells.
Moon of Nokstella is in Nokstella, Eternal City, the underground area associated with Ranni’s questline. Access normally requires progressing through Ranni’s objectives and the connected underground regions. Once inside Nokstella, make your way toward the large throne or statue structure at the city’s western high point.

The talisman is in a chest beneath that large structure. Search the lower area under the throne-like setting rather than only checking the main upper platform.

- Progress far enough through Ranni’s questline to open the route into Nokstella.
- Explore Nokstella toward its western, elevated section.
- Locate the large throne/statue area.
- Drop or travel beneath it and open the chest containing Moon of Nokstella.
Moon of Nokstella is separate from the number of talisman slots. It increases the number of memorized spells; it does not give you another talisman slot.
5. Old Lord’s Talisman: Crumbling Farum Azula
Effect: Extends the duration of sorceries and incantations.
Old Lord’s Talisman is a late-game pickup in Crumbling Farum Azula. From the Beside the Great Bridge area, take the route away from the Beast Clergyman boss path. Follow the level’s exterior sections and descend a ladder to reach the item’s location.

The route can be easy to miss because the most obvious path from this area leads toward the boss. If you are repeatedly approaching the boss fog, turn back and look for the alternative route and ladder leading downward. The talisman is obtained from a chest in this section.
Crumbling Farum Azula is an endgame region, so this is not an item most characters can collect during the early or midgame. Plan the final collection route around your progression rather than treating all eight talismans as immediately available.
6. Marika’s Soreseal: Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree
Effect: Raises Mind, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane by 5 each, while increasing damage taken.
Marika’s Soreseal is inside Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, one of the game’s most demanding late-game areas. From the Prayer Room route, look for the sealed room that requires a Stonesword Key. Use the key at the imp statue, enter the unlocked room, and collect Marika’s Soreseal inside.
Elphael itself requires substantial optional-area progression, so reaching this talisman is a significant undertaking. The Stonesword Key is consumed when opening the barrier; if you arrive without one, you will need to return after obtaining a key.
7. Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman: Elphael
Effect: Greatly increases physical damage negation.
The second Legendary Talisman in Elphael is reached from the Drainage Channel area. From there, traverse the roots and upper exterior structures until you can enter the building through a roof opening. A chest inside contains Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman.
- Reach the Drainage Channel area in Elphael.
- Use the nearby roots and exterior platforms to gain height.
- Cross to the roof opening.
- Enter the building and open the chest.
This talisman is the highest-tier Dragoncrest item required for the collection. The ordinary Dragoncrest Shield Talisman and its other upgrade levels are different items and do not satisfy the Legendary Talismans requirement.

Erdtree’s Favor +2 is specifically found in Leyndell, Ashen Capital, the endgame version of the capital. It becomes available after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade, when Leyndell changes into its ash-covered state.
Once in Ashen Capital, travel through the altered city toward the large ash-filled exterior area. The talisman is found there on a tree or item pickup location guarded by dangerous enemies. Collect it to complete the eight-item set.
The timing is important: the ordinary Erdtree’s Favor and Erdtree’s Favor +1 are not interchangeable with the required +2 version. If you have already collected an earlier version, you must still obtain Erdtree’s Favor +2 in Ashen Capital.
Do not confuse these similarly named talismans
These substitutions do not count:
- Radagon’s Soreseal is required, not Radagon’s Scarseal.
- Marika’s Soreseal is required, not Marika’s Scarseal.
- Erdtree’s Favor +2 is required, not Erdtree’s Favor or Erdtree’s Favor +1.
- Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman is required, not a Dragoncrest Shield Talisman of a lower tier.
The Soreseals and Scarseals are especially easy to mix up because their names and effects are closely related. The Soreseal versions provide the larger stat increase but also impose the relevant damage-taken penalty. Check the inventory name letter for letter before assuming that a similar item has been counted.
When can you collect all eight?
The first several items are spread across accessible but varied parts of the map:
- Radagon Icon is in Raya Lucaria.
- Radagon’s Soreseal is in Caelid.
- Godfrey Icon requires an Altus Plateau Evergaol boss.
- Moon of Nokstella is tied to underground access and normally Ranni’s questline.
The final group requires much more progression:
- Old Lord’s Talisman is in Crumbling Farum Azula.
- Marika’s Soreseal and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman are both in Elphael.
- Erdtree’s Favor +2 is available only in Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
In practical terms, the complete collection is a substantial progression objective. Do not assume that every item can be obtained early simply because some individual talismans are available before the late game.
Talisman slots are separate from the eight-item objective
Elden Ring lets a character equip up to four talismans, but acquiring Legendary Talismans does not automatically unlock all four slots. The usual slot progression begins with one slot and adds three more through major progression milestones involving Margit, Finger Reader Enia after obtaining two Great Runes, and Godfrey, First Elden Lord.
This distinction matters when planning a build. You can collect all eight Legendary Talismans without having four slots available, and you do not need to equip every collected item for the achievement or trophy.
Physical reference recommendation: Several of these pickups are hidden behind quest progression, underground routes, Evergaols, roof openings, and late-game area transitions. For players who prefer a permanent map and route reference, Elden Ring Books of Knowledge Volume I is the most directly relevant physical guide. Future Press describes the 512-page hardcover as covering the Lands Between’s overworld, dungeons, underworld, NPC routes, mechanics, maps, and progression—exactly the information most useful for tracing this collection.
Legendary Talismans achievement troubleshooting
If the achievement or trophy has not appeared after collecting the eighth item, work through this checklist:
- Compare every inventory name with the checklist. Similar effects are not enough; the exact item must be present.
- Confirm both Soreseals. They must be Radagon’s Soreseal and Marika’s Soreseal, not either Scarseal.
- Check Erdtree’s Favor’s suffix. The required item is Erdtree’s Favor +2.
- Check the Dragoncrest name. It must say Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman.
- Confirm Godfrey Icon came from Godefroy. Defeating another Grafted boss does not provide this item.
- Check storage or other inventory pages. If you moved an item out of your active inventory, verify that it still exists in your character’s storage.
- Review the collection against the eight-item table. The objective does not require four equipped talismans or any particular build.
These checks address the most likely naming and progression mistakes. They are troubleshooting steps, not a guarantee of a platform-specific fix if the achievement system fails to register correctly. If every exact item is present, save safely, reload the character, and recheck the achievement on your platform before attempting any irreversible late-game choice.
