- Main action: Do you primarily use two-handed attacks, critical hits, kicks and stomps, or weapon skills?
- Resource pressure: Are you running low on FP, stamina, healing flasks, or FP-restoring flasks?
- Encounter damage: Would resistance to a particular damage type matter more than a general offensive benefit?
PCGamesN reports that the expansion adds 39 talismans, including upgrades to existing talismans; that count is from its guide, updated August 21, 2024, and is not independently confirmed here against an official item catalog. PCGamesN’s talisman guide also notes that damage-negation talismans can help against expansion bosses.
Best talismans for resource management
Blessed Blue Dew Talisman: gradual FP recovery
Blessed Blue Dew gradually restores FP, making it a practical option if you use skills or cast occasional spells but do not spend FP continuously. Passive recovery is less compelling for a caster who burns through FP quickly; in that case, consider whether a flask-focused option better matches your needs. PCGamesN locates it at the statue of Marika in the Church of Benediction in Gravesite Plain. GameSpot describes the effect but does not provide a location in the reviewed passage. Two-Headed Turtle Talisman: stamina recovery
This talisman greatly raises stamina recovery speed, supporting play that repeatedly spends stamina on attacking, casting, sprinting, rolling, blocking, or dodging. Crusade Insignia: attack boost after defeating enemies
Crusade Insignia boosts attack after defeating enemies, which can suit routes with frequent enemy encounters more than a boss fight where you cannot trigger its condition repeatedly. Availability and game requirements
Shadow of the Erdtree launched on June 21, 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, according to Bandai Namco’s launch announcement. The expansion requires the Elden Ring base game. Bandai Namco also lists an edition that bundles the base game and expansion on its official product page.
