How to get the Golden Halberd
The Golden Halberd is a guaranteed drop from the Tree Sentinel in Limgrave. You can pursue it as soon as you reach the area, but the boss is not an easy early-game target simply because it is nearby. If you cannot defeat it yet, explore and strengthen your character before returning.

Eldenpedia lists the weapon as a halberd with standard and pierce attack types. Its in-game description, reproduced on the item page, calls it a weighty golden halberd used by the Order of Tree Sentinels and notes that it deals holy damage: Golden Halberd item data.

Which stats should you level?
First reach the requirements for the way you intend to wield the weapon. If you plan to two-hand it, 20 Strength is the listed threshold; one-handed use requires the full 30 Strength. Either way, Dexterity 14 and Faith 12 remain requirements.
After that, prioritize survival and then Strength for a straightforward melee framework. Consider additional Faith if you want the character to use incantations as well. This is a practical allocation approach inferred from the requirements and listed scaling, not a tested level-by-level build or damage-optimized stat spread.

- One-handed plan: Plan around 30 Strength as well as 14 Dexterity and 12 Faith; this gives you more flexibility to keep another item in the off hand.

Using the built-in Golden Vow skill
The Golden Halberd’s skill is Golden Vow. Eldenpedia lists a cost of 40 FP and an aura duration of 45 seconds. Its reference gives PvE values of 11.5% attack power and 7.5% damage negation; the listed PvP values are lower, at 2.5% attack power and 1.5% damage negation. Use the skill before a demanding encounter or a short damage window, and account for the FP cost and limited duration. - Weight and moveset: Account for the 13.5 weight and whether the halberd’s attacks suit your playstyle.
- Skill and flexibility: The Golden Halberd has Golden Vow built in; compare that with alternatives that permit a different skill or affinity.
