The weapon is the boss’s reward; you can fight Darriwil without help, or seek Blaidd’s optional assistance first.
Where to find Bloodhound Knight Darriwil
The Forlorn Hound Evergaol is in southern Limgrave, south of Gatefront and reachable from the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace. The Bloodhound’s Fang reference lists the weapon’s acquisition at this encounter.
How to get Bloodhound’s Fang
- Travel to the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in southern Limgrave.
- Interact with the central seal to enter the Evergaol and begin the fight with Bloodhound Knight Darriwil.
- Defeat Darriwil to receive Bloodhound’s Fang.
Can Blaidd help with the fight?
Blaidd the Half-Wolf can provide optional assistance if you have made the relevant interaction in his questline. This is not required to enter the Evergaol or earn the weapon. See PC Gamer’s Blaidd quest guide for the quest context.
Bloodhound’s Fang requirements and upgrades
The weapon is a curved greatsword with requirements of 18 Strength and 17 Dexterity, and its listed blood-loss buildup is 55. It uses Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade and can reach +10; the cited weapon reference does not establish a complete tier-by-tier stone route.
