How to reach Terra Magica
- Go to Academy Crystal Cave. The cave is beneath the west side of Raya Lucaria Academy in Liurnia of the Lakes. The location guide identifies it as the route to the spell: Academy Crystal Cave location.
- Check the entrance seal. Sources disagree about whether the imp seal requires one or two Stonesword Keys. Check the seal at the cave entrance and bring the number it displays rather than relying on an unverified count.
- Defeat the Crystalians. The boss chamber contains the Crystalian (Spear) and Crystalian (Staff).
- Take the lift beyond the chamber. Ascend toward the academy’s highest belfry, climb the stairs, and open the chest containing Terra Magica. The route is also shown in this Terra Magica walkthrough.
Requirements and what Terra Magica does
Terra Magica requires 20 Intelligence, costs 20 FP per cast, and uses one memory slot, according to Eldenpedia’s spell reference. Its item description reads: “Draws an academy sigil upon the ground, raising the magic strength of those within.”
The reference describes a stationary sigil with a 4.2-meter radius and a 30-second duration. It reports a 22.5% magic-damage increase for players inside the sigil, reduced to 15% in PvP. These figures are community-reference values, not independent test results; the page also records a reduction to the spell’s effect in update 1.12. Later patches may have changed its behavior.
Using the sigil effectively
Terra Magica rewards spells cast from within its area, so its stationary placement matters: set it where you can remain inside while attacking. The cited reference’s 30-second duration and 4.2-meter radius indicate the practical constraint, but check current in-game behavior if you need exact timing or damage values.
