Where to find the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword
Travel to Scadu Altus and locate the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past southwest of Moorth Ruins. The entrance is down the slope, between two lit braziers. The sword is not a boss drop or random farm reward: it is waiting at the forge altar.

How to reach the altar
- Enter the forge, cross the bridge, and pull the lever on the left.
- Drop down and continue through the tunnel. Pass the golem smith near the broken rock, then climb the ladder on the right near the tunnel’s end.
- In the large room with fire blobs and another golem smith, climb the broken rubble and go through the upper doorway.
- Drop from the square metal-looking platform onto the narrow walkway below. Follow it past the seated golem smith and pull the lever there. The gate at the far end will slowly lower.
- Pull the lever a second time. As the gate rises, jump onto it from the ledge and ride it to the previously unreachable platform opposite.
- Go through the door into the altar room and examine the altar to collect the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Requirements and weapon details
The Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is a Colossal Sword. Its stat requirements are 35 Strength, 10 Dexterity, and 19 Arcane. Gamer Guides lists its base scaling as Strength D, Dexterity E, and Arcane D, and its physical damage types as Standard/Pierce. Its White Light Charge skill dashes forward into a stabbing motion followed by an explosion.
What you need to access the expansion
Shadow of the Erdtree requires the Elden Ring base game. Bandai Namco’s official site also says players must have progressed through the base game to a certain extent before starting the expansion, but does not specify an exact threshold there. If you already own and can access the expansion, no special edition or additional item is needed for this weapon.
