When was Elden Ring maintenance on June 20?
FromSoftware scheduled maintenance for Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 16:00 to 19:00 Japan Standard Time (JST), equivalent to 07:00 to 10:00 UTC. The notice said online play would be unavailable during that window, while offline play would remain possible. It also warned that the maintenance end time could change without notice. Which update accompanied the June 20 maintenance?
The update was Version 1.12, released June 20, 2024. Bandai Namco’s notes identify the resulting game versions as App Ver. 1.12 and Regulation Ver. 1.12.1. Online play required installing the update. Balance changes and fixes

Why some searches say “Elden Ring Version 1.16”
Version 1.16.1 is a separate, later update. Bandai Namco’s US notes dated August 21, 2025 say it fixed a bug that could give some weapons an incorrect affinity or status ailment after certain actions, and a bug that allowed players to bypass another player’s block through unauthorized methods. Online play required applying that update. It was not the patch released for the June 20, 2024 maintenance. Official Version 1.16.1 notes.

As of September 8, 2026, the latest official notice identified App Ver. 1.17.1 and Regulation Ver. 1.17.1, and said the update was required for online play. The preceding Version 1.17 notes, dated August 27, 2026, cover Tarnished Pack support, gameplay balance adjustments, and bug fixes.
