Build around a specific weapon, meet its requirements, and then balance damage, survivability, and equipment load.
Is Rogue an actual Elden Ring class?
No official Rogue starting class is established by the available class and build information. Treat the name as a playstyle label rather than a preset: it can describe a fast Dexterity-focused fighter, a status-oriented character, or a mobile melee build that seeks critical-hit openings. Bandai Namco’s official Elden Ring page is the relevant starting point for the game’s classes and builds.
The exact level-100+ guide associated with this title is not available to verify its equipment or stat recommendations. Accordingly, this guide explains how to shape a Rogue-style character without presenting an unsupported weapon, armor set, talisman loadout, or exact stat allocation as definitive.
How should you plan a level 100+ Rogue build?
Choose your weapon and goal before assigning every point. A level-100 character’s practical spread depends on starting class, weapon requirements and scaling, upgrade level, desired armor, and whether the character is for PvE or PvP. Those details can change the sensible balance; a universal number template would conceal rather than solve those differences.

- Pick a quick weapon you enjoy. Check its attribute requirements, scaling, reach and moveset, innate status buildup, upgrade path, and whether its affinity can be changed.
- Meet its requirements. Bandai Namco notes that using an armament without its required attributes significantly reduces its damage. Do not invest in a presumed Rogue spread before checking the weapon.
- Set a survivability target. The official general recommendation is at least 40 Vigor. Consider more when survivability is the priority and other needs are covered.
- Choose a roll and outfit. Decide whether you want a medium or light roll, then adjust armor and weapon load accordingly; Endurance may help support the equipment you want to carry.
- Invest remaining levels in the weapon’s damage plan. Dexterity is a natural fit when the chosen weapon scales with it. Consider Arcane only when the weapon and status plan make that investment useful.
- Keep upgrades and affinity aligned with your stats. Weapon upgrade level improves scaling, while compatible Ashes of War and Whetblades can change a weapon’s affinity or scaling.
How much Vigor should a level 100+ Rogue have?
Use 40 Vigor as a broad baseline, not a class-specific rule. Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. lists 1,450 Health at 40 Vigor, 1,900 at 60, and 2,100 at 99; the page gives no publication date. The jump from 40 to 60 is 450 listed Health, while the listed gain from 60 to 99 is 200. That makes 60 a possible later survivability milestone, but it competes with weapon attributes, Endurance, and any status-support investment.
These figures describe the official page’s Vigor-to-Health values, not a guarantee of how durable a particular character will feel in a particular encounter. Raise Vigor according to the difficulty you face and the damage you are willing to trade for offense or mobility.

Should you level Dexterity or Arcane?
Dexterity for weapons that scale with it
Bandai Namco describes Dexterity as useful for fast or ranged attacks and notes that Dexterity weapons often apply bleed or frost. That does not mean every quick weapon scales best with Dexterity: inspect the specific weapon’s requirements and scaling, especially after upgrades and affinity changes. Arcane for applicable status buildup
Arcane can increase buildup for applicable effects such as bleed, poison, and sleep, as well as item discovery. It does not increase the amount of damage dealt or the duration of a status effect. It is therefore status support, not a universal damage stat; verify that your chosen weapon benefits from Arcane before spending levels on it. A weapon that does not gain the intended benefit may make those points less useful than investing in its relevant damage attribute or survivability.

How do you keep a light or medium roll?
Roll category depends on total equipment load, so weapon and armor choices have to fit together. Bandai Namco’s equipment-load guidance defines the thresholds as follows:

These thresholds are from Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc.; the page does not show a publication date. A fast roll is a preference, not a Rogue requirement. Heavier armor or a heavier weapon can push the total past the desired threshold, so check the load after equipping the complete setup. How should you choose a weapon and upgrade it?
There is no verified best-in-slot Rogue weapon in the available material. Compare candidates on the points that determine whether they suit your playstyle:
- Requirements and scaling: make sure you can use the weapon effectively and that its scaling rewards the attributes you plan to raise.
- Speed and reach: a quick moveset may support opportunistic attacks, while reach affects how safely you can connect.
- Status: check whether the weapon already builds a status and whether Arcane or a chosen affinity improves that specific plan.
- Critical openings or sustained attacks: favor the moveset that supports how you actually want to fight; the Rogue label alone does not determine this.
- Upgrade path and affinity flexibility: account for the weapon’s upgrade materials and whether Ashes of War or Whetblades can give it a useful affinity.
Upgrading is part of the build, not a finishing detail: higher weapon level improves scaling, and an affinity can alter which attributes contribute. Reassess the weapon’s scaling after changing its affinity rather than assuming your old stat priorities still apply. What should you expect from this build guide?
The mechanics support a flexible recipe, not one certified level-100 loadout: select a fast weapon, build around its requirements and scaling, protect enough Vigor for your comfort, and choose armor that preserves your preferred roll. Specific weapon, armor, talisman, route, or patch-optimized recommendations are not established here. Recheck the chosen weapon’s current scaling and affinity behavior in your game before committing further levels.
