The update also included combat, graphics, and stability fixes. It is an archived update, not the current PS4/PS5 version.
What changed in Nightreign patch 1.01.1?
The official notice lists App Ver. 1.01.1 and Regulation Ver. 1.01.2. Those are separate labels; the game displays its version at the title screen. The June 2, 2025 notice names PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam. Read the official 1.01.1 patch notice.

Solo revival, limited to nighttime boss fights
Single-player characters gained an automatic revival-upon-defeat effect with the same effect as Wending Grace. It can activate at most once in each of the three boss fights that occur at night. The note does not describe this as a multiplayer effect or as an unlimited revive.
More runes from enemies in single-player
Enemy rune rewards increased in single-player. The patch notice does not publish a multiplier, percentage, or specific rune amount.

Improved high-rarity relic rewards
The update increased the number of high-rarity relics obtainable among rewards for reaching day three. It also increased the chance of obtaining high-rarity relics from Scenic Flatstone, which can be purchased at the Small Jar Bazaar. The notice gives no relic count, drop percentage, or guarantee of a particular rarity.
A separate bug fix addressed some effects being less likely to be applied to relics obtained from expedition rewards or Scenic Flatstone. That fix concerns which effects appeared on relics; it is distinct from the increases to high-rarity reward quantity and chance.

Other combat and gameplay fixes
- Adjusted the camera behavior when Guardian activates Wings of Salvation.
- Fixed status buildup from other players’ attacks sometimes failing to trigger a status effect during Lady’s Reprise.
- Fixed some greataxe and great hammer attacks dealing more damage than intended for Raider.
- Fixed Holy Blade causing Those Who Live in Death to revive after being defeated.
- Fixed Blood Blade failing to build up hemorrhage when its attack hit an enemy.
- Fixed Flame of the Redmanes failing to produce an attack in certain situations.
- Fixed Moonlight Greatsword heavy-attack waves failing to build up frostbite while the skill effect was active.
- Fixed Mighty Shot and Enchanted Shot arrows traveling slower than intended.
- Fixed Rock Sling having longer-than-intended range when used with a staff in the left hand.
- Fixed Black Blade failing to reduce an enemy’s maximum HP on hit.
- Fixed a defensive-affinity effect repeatedly stacking when attack chains were restarted while the effect was active.
- Corrected displayed values for some passive effects.
- Fixed the Guardian relic effect that draws enemy attention during the ability failing to activate under certain inputs.
Stability, presentation, and PC-specific fixes
The notice also lists fixes for enemy behavior, instability and graphics during certain fights, credits and text, and sound effects that did not play correctly. On some platforms, it addressed the Tracker’s Remembrance exit effect, missing HUD, crashes, expedition launch or session reconnection failures, and background music playback. It does not identify every affected enemy or platform for these issues.
PC-only changes
- Fixed some graphics rendering incorrectly when Graphics Quality was set to “Low.”
- Fixed keyboard climbing sometimes failing and gamepad climbing being difficult to perform.
How to apply the update and check the version
The publisher said online play required applying the update. On PlayStation and Xbox, the notice instructed players to connect to the game server from the title screen to receive the latest regulation. If “OFFLINE” appears at the bottom right, select “LOGIN” from the title menu. Check the title screen to see the displayed version labels.

Is 1.01.1 the current Nightreign version?
No. The 1.01.1 notes are a historical June 2025 update. The official site lists a later PS4/PS5 update dated September 18, 2026, as App Ver. 1.03.4 and Regulation Ver. 1.03.5; its stated change is a network security enhancement. That notice applies specifically to PS4 and PS5, so it should not be treated as confirmation of the current Xbox or Steam version.
