To change a Nightfarer’s garb in Elden Ring Nightreign, complete at least two Expeditions, then visit the clothing chest and changing area in the east wing of Roundtable Hold. Choose the Nightfarer you want to dress and select one of the outfits you have acquired for that character. More attire becomes available for Murk as you complete further Expeditions.
How to change outfits in Elden Ring Nightreign
- Complete at least two Expeditions. The official starter guide says the clothing chest and changing area become available after this point.
- Return to Roundtable Hold and go to the east wing. The clothing chest and changing area take the place of crates there.
- Select the Nightfarer whose appearance you want to change.
- Choose an outfit acquired for that Nightfarer from the changing area.
The steps and availability threshold come from Bandai Namco Europe’s official starter guide, published 17 June 2025. If the changing area is not available, check whether you have completed two Expeditions.

How to unlock more garb
Additional attire becomes available for purchase with Murk as you complete more Expeditions. Check the in-game Murk shop and the dresser for the options currently available to you. The official guide excerpt does not list individual outfits, prices, or exact unlock conditions, so those details should be confirmed in game rather than assumed.
What the garb system does—and does not do
The changing area lets you select acquired outfits for the Nightfarer you are using. The available official information describes outfit selection, not a character creator: it does not establish free-form armor mixing, facial customization, or cosmetic purchases outside the game.

Unlocking a Nightfarer and acquiring that character’s outfits are separate progression matters. The official starter guide notes that Duchess and Revenant join after early progression and specific requirements, but its accessible text does not give those requirements. Their availability should not be treated as an outfit unlock condition.
