For readers looking for the test’s registration timing, the verified regional details are below. Europe’s official window is precise; the retrieved North American announcement gives a registration date but no opening hour.
When did Network Test registration open and close?
Europe
Bandai Namco Europe’s rules set registration from January 10, 2025, at 3 PM CEST through January 20, 2025, at 3 PM CEST. These are European times and should not be treated as North American signup hours. The North American announcement confirms January 10 as the registration date but does not state an opening time, so a U.S. or other regional hour cannot be established from these official notices.
#1 Best Overall
North America
Bandai Namco America’s January 10 announcement linked to the registration page, but it did not specify what time registration opened. The America correction notice later told affected registrants to update their platform selection by January 20, 2025, at 5:59 AM PST. That correction deadline is not evidence of a general North American signup closing time.
Who could apply, and did signup guarantee a code?
European applicants
Under Bandai Namco Europe’s rules, applicants had to be at least 18, live in an eligible listed territory, have a Bandai Namco Europe account, complete the form, choose a console platform, and accept the data terms. The rules described allocation as first-come, first-served, with one code for the selected platform. They scheduled winner emails for January 30, 2025, at 3 PM CEST, and code delivery for February 11, 2025, at 3 PM CEST.
Applicants in the Americas
Bandai Namco America’s correction notice described its opportunity as open to people aged 17 or older with a valid PSN or Xbox account. It explicitly cautioned that signing up and updating a platform preference did not guarantee a code. These America-specific eligibility terms should not be merged with Europe’s separate age, territory, and allocation rules.

What can you play now?
The test is distinct from the released game. Nightreign launched on May 30, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. FromSoftware stated that it can be played standalone, without owning the original Elden Ring. Its release announcement records physical package versions for PS5 and PS4. A copy of the full game is not a beta code and does not provide access to the finished Network Test.
