Where to find Gaius’s Greaves
- Defeat Commander Gaius. He is at the back of Shadow Keep in the Realm of Shadow, in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
- Leave the arena through the arch to the west. The route leads into a cliff area near Albinauric’s Shack, a broken building.
- Defeat the wolf-mounted Albinauric archer. This enemy near the shack is the reported source of Gaius’s Greaves.
GamesRadar’s route guide says reaching Gaius involves passing through the East Church District: drain the water, reach the main church’s second level, continue north to an elevator, and cross the Specimen Storehouse rafters before taking another elevator toward the Scadutree region. This is one described approach, not an official map route.

Is defeating Gaius required?
The available location guides place the archer beyond Gaius’s arena, so their route requires defeating the boss to reach the greaves that way. The greaves come from the archer rather than from Gaius as a boss reward.
Does Enia sell the greaves?
A Fandom search result claims Finger Reader Enia sells Gaius’s Greaves after Gaius is defeated, but that conflicts with the route-based guides, which identify the mounted archer as the drop source. The purchase claim is not confirmed by the available evidence, so treat the archer route as the established method.

The Elden Ring Wiki reproduces the in-game description as: “Black iron greaves made for Commander Gaius. A cruel joke, for he could not wear them.” It also describes Gaius as a warrior of Albinauric extraction who rode a boar he called his other half. Check the in-game text if exact wording matters.
