To reach the Hinterlands, find the O Mother gesture north of Bonny Village, then use it on the Queen Marika statue beside Shadow Keep, Back Gate. The statue opens a passage into eastern Scaduview, which leads to the Hinterlands.
Get the O Mother gesture
- Start at Moorth Ruins and follow the route down into Bonny Village.
- Travel north of Bonny Village and find the headless statue. Collect the O Mother gesture there; you need it to open the passage at Shadow Keep.
Open the passage at Shadow Keep
- Continue through the Church District until you reach the Shadow Keep, Back Gate Site of Grace.
- From the Site of Grace, enter the room on the right and face the Queen Marika statue.
- Perform the O Mother gesture in front of the statue. It moves to reveal a hidden passage.
- Follow the passage into eastern Scaduview to reach the Hinterlands.
Where the passage leads
Beyond the passage, routes lead toward Shaman Village and the Finger Ruins of Dheo. This is the eastern Scaduview entrance; the nearby boss fog is not the entrance to the Hinterlands.
The Hinterlands are part of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and lie within Scaduview.
