It sends two sticky-thread spears forward, costs 28 FP, requires 26 Faith, and is found in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh near the Church of the Bud, Main Entrance.
What Pest-Thread Spears does
The incantation creates sticky threads, twists them into two spears, and launches them forward. Its in-game description says that charging the spell enhances its potency. It is associated with the Servants of Rot, also called the Kindred of Rot. The item entry reproduces the spell description and lists its requirements.
Pest-Thread Spears requirements and cost
| Requirement or property | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Incantation |
| Faith requirement | 26 |
| FP cost | 28 |
| Memory slots | 1 |
These are the spell’s listed in-game requirements and costs; they do not indicate how much damage it will deal against a particular enemy.
Where to find Pest-Thread Spears
Look in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, in the area near the Church of the Bud, Main Entrance Site of Grace. Guides place the pickup behind stairs in a nearby cave or ground-level area. The descriptions agree on the landmark but do not establish a single turn-by-turn route, so use the map and the Church of the Bud, Main Entrance landmark to orient yourself. Gamer Guides’ location guide and Game8’s guide both point to the area behind the stairs.
How to equip and cast it
- Meet the 26 Faith requirement.
- Rest at a Site of Grace and choose the option to memorize spells; assign Pest-Thread Spears to an available memory slot.
- Equip a Sacred Seal in a hand, select the incantation, and use the seal to cast it. The spell uses 28 FP.
- Hold the cast to charge it if you want to use the enhanced-potency effect noted in its description.
Is it better than Pest Threads?
There is no established universal winner. Pest-Thread Spears may be worth considering against large enemies: guide commentary suggests that a large target can be struck in multiple places by the projectiles. That is a situational rationale, not a guaranteed damage result. Whether it suits you depends on how many hits connect, the enemy’s size and movement, your Faith and FP budget, and whether you have a safe opportunity to cast.
The available guides do not provide a controlled, current-patch damage comparison with Pest Threads. Treat damage rankings, boss-specific superiority, and PvP performance claims as unverified rather than assuming this spell is always stronger.
