ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree released worldwide on June 21, 2024, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The launch did not happen at the same local clock time on every platform: PC used a simultaneous worldwide release, while consoles unlocked at midnight local time. That meant some players could start on June 20 in their local time zone.

How did the PC and console launches differ?
- PC via Steam: The release was simultaneous worldwide, so local clock times varied. Some regions reached the launch on June 20, while others reached it on June 21.
- PlayStation and Xbox: The schedule specified midnight local time, which meant the expansion could become playable on June 20 or June 21 depending on the player’s location.
So, “June 21 worldwide” is the official release date, not a promise that every player saw the same local date or unlocked at midnight on every platform.
