Thiollier’s quest begins at Pillar Path Cross in Gravesite Plain and leads to St. Trina in the Garden of Deep Purple. To complete it, advance St. Trina’s dialogue by repeatedly drinking her nectar, report her message to Thiollier, then defeat him when he invades. Complete the key steps before burning the Sealing Tree, and finish his follow-up dialogue before the Leda and allies battle in Enir-Ilim if you want to preserve his summon opportunity.
Meet Thiollier and get his Concoction
Thiollier is at Pillar Path Cross, on the eastern side of Gravesite Plain. The optional Black Syrup branch gives you Thiollier’s Concoction, but it is not required for the main St. Trina sequence.

- Speak with Thiollier at Pillar Path Cross.
- Go to Main Gate Cross and speak with Moore to receive Black Syrup.
- Give the Black Syrup to Thiollier, ask him about it, then choose “I’m weary of life” to receive Thiollier’s Concoction.
The Concoction affects the Dragon Communion Priestess quest reward branch; it is separate from progressing Thiollier’s quest with St. Trina. Elden Ring Wiki.gg’s Concoction entry describes the item and branch.
Find St. Trina in the Garden of Deep Purple
After Miquella’s Great Rune breaks and the charm is dispelled, return to Thiollier and exhaust his updated dialogue. He eventually says he is heading south to seek St. Trina.

- Travel to the Southern Shore and find Stone Coffin Fissure at its far southern end.
- Make your way through the fissure and defeat the Putrescent Knight. Thiollier can be summoned for this boss encounter.
- Continue to the Garden of Deep Purple, where you will find St. Trina.
Drink the nectar and advance Thiollier’s dialogue
Interact with St. Trina and imbibe her nectar repeatedly. Each use kills your character, who returns to the area; the death is part of the interaction, not a sign that the quest has failed.
PC Gamer reports that the fourth imbibing triggers St. Trina’s first message. Counts given for the remaining interactions vary with how guides count the additional message and invasion steps, so use the dialogue as your cue rather than relying on one fixed total. - Keep imbibing St. Trina’s nectar until she speaks.
- Return to Thiollier and tell him what St. Trina said; exhaust his dialogue.
- Follow up with more nectar interactions and speak with Thiollier again as his dialogue changes.
- When Thiollier invades in the Garden of Deep Purple, defeat him to receive St. Trina’s Smile.
Finish the quest steps before the major cutoffs
There are two progression points to watch if you want to keep all of Thiollier’s later opportunities available.
- Before burning the Sealing Tree: complete the early quest interactions first. PowerPyx warns that burning the Sealing Tree at the Church of the Bud can cut off those steps.
- Before fighting Leda and her allies in Enir-Ilim: return to St. Trina and complete Thiollier’s follow-up dialogue to preserve his summon opportunity for that encounter.

Thiollier’s summon signs are available for the Putrescent Knight, the Leda and allies encounter, and a fight before the expansion’s final boss, according to the walkthroughs. Summoning him is optional. After defeating the final boss, collect Thiollier’s Hidden Needle and his Mask, Garb, Gloves, and Trousers. The invasion reward, St. Trina’s Smile, is earned earlier by defeating Thiollier in the Garden of Deep Purple. The Elden Ring Wiki’s Thiollier entry lists his equipment and quest rewards.
