Beanworks and Bean Speaker were historically obtained by joining Elder Bean’s cause during the Beanstalk Event. The reviewed community wiki pages report that Elder Bean was later removed with the Fairy Event, and that neither item is currently obtainable through the original route. Because no official notice confirming their present status was found, check the live game for any later event changes.
How players historically got Beanworks and Bean Speaker
- Find Elder Bean. During the Beanstalk Event, the NPC was described as standing in a map corner near the Seed Shop.
- Talk to Elder Bean and choose “I want to join the cause.” A guide published by Droid Gamers on August 21, 2025, reported that this changed the player’s avatar into a Beanling.
- If you already had the Beanling look, select the join option again. The same guide said this could award both gears.
This is a historical route, not a current set of instructions: community wiki pages report that Elder Bean was removed with the Fairy Event. They do not establish that a later event has restored the NPC or rewards.

What Beanworks and Bean Speaker do
| Gear | Reported effect | Crop benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Beanworks | Displays either “Green” or “Bean” and makes a sound, like a themed firework. | The contemporary guide describes no crop productivity boost or mutation effect. |
| Bean Speaker | Plays a robotic voice saying “Bean Or Leave” in varying pitches. | No crop benefit is reported. |
The effects are cosmetic and audio-focused; the available descriptions do not indicate that either item improves gardening.
Can you still get the items?
The reviewed community wiki pages say Elder Bean was removed with the Fairy Event and both gears are no longer obtainable. That status is community-reported, not confirmed by an official developer or Roblox notice in the sources reviewed. If you are checking after a later update or event, look for Elder Bean in the live game and check current event information; the old route only works if the NPC and reward interaction are available again.

Why the historical reward may not have appeared
Contemporary reports mention two issues, but neither should be treated as a guaranteed fix today:
- The guide reported that changing avatars or leaving the game could remove the gear at the time.
- A community wiki describes an inventory glitch and a workaround: switch to another avatar, rejoin, then talk to Elder Bean again. Since the NPC is reported removed, that workaround may not be usable now.
These reports explain possible problems with the old event reward; they do not establish a current way to obtain missing items.
