Embark Studios is developing two additional games, but neither has been identified. CEO Patrick Söderlund described one concept as having “a lot more edge” than The Finals or ARC Raiders; he called the other “a little bit more conventional.” Those comments describe a creative contrast, not a confirmed genre, rating, story, or release plan.
What did Embark say about the two games?
In an interview with The Game Business reported by Insider Gaming on October 29, 2025, Söderlund said the projects were in early conceptual stages. He described one as having “a lot more edge” than The Finals or ARC Raiders, and the second as “a little bit more conventional.” Insider Gaming’s report attributes the remarks to that interview.
“Edgy” is only a relative description here: Söderlund did not explain what it meant. It does not establish that the game is horror, more violent, mature-rated, or about any particular subject. Likewise, “more conventional” does not identify a genre or say that the second project is a sequel or a familiar kind of game.
What are Embark’s new games?
Their names and concepts have not been made public in the cited reporting. The available descriptions establish only that Embark has two projects and that Söderlund sees a difference in their creative direction. No genre, plot, platforms, or other identifying details have been reported.

In February 2026, Söderlund again referred to two new games, saying Embark hoped to finish them someday. Gamereactor quoted him discussing the studio’s plans to grow, hire, and continue supporting ARC Raiders and The Finals, before adding: “We also have two new games in development that we hope to finish someday.” Gamereactor’s account provides that update.
In May 2026, GamesRadar reported that Nexon’s earnings report listed two Embark games in early development, but gave no project details. GamesRadar’s report likewise does not identify either game.

Will either game be online?
That is not confirmed. In the October 2025 interview excerpt, Söderlund said online development was ingrained in Embark’s DNA, while clarifying that this did not mean the new games would be online in the same way as The Finals or ARC Raiders. That does not settle whether either project will be multiplayer, single-player, or use another format. Insider Gaming’s coverage reports the distinction.
When could Embark announce or release them?
No announcement or release dates have been disclosed in the cited reports. The October 2025 coverage described the concepts as early-stage, and Söderlund’s February 2026 remark that the studio hoped to finish them “someday” offered no timetable. The May 2026 report still described the projects as being in early development.
