When does Kena: Scars of Kosmora come out?
The current official release window is 2027. Ember Lab’s October 1, 2026 update moved the game from its earlier 2026 window, saying the extra time will let the team polish the expanded experience. Josh Grier, the studio’s COO, said, “Pushing our release into 2027 gives us the ability to really polish the expanded game experience we want to deliver.” PlayStation Blog, October 1, 2026
The February 12, 2026 announcement had said the game would arrive “this year,” meaning 2026 at that time. That window has been superseded by the October update. The PlayStation US game page currently lists the exact release date as “to be determined.”

The announcements do not specify a PC storefront, prices, preorder availability, or further differences between the platform versions. The island’s history and cultures shape the adventure. The October story overview describes four interconnected cultures, each associated with a guiding element, and a mysterious cataclysm that destroyed one of them. Temples serve as dungeon experiences that test players and offer transformative rewards. A crystalline canine Spirit Companion can act as a mount and assist with combat and puzzles.
