To complete the Emerging Talent Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet, start with Yan Cangfeng at Harvestfall Village’s eastern entrance, bring him the Strange Wooden Box from south of Bodhi Sea, then eavesdrop at the western graveyard at Zi hour. Pick up the Secret Letter after he leaves and return it to him the following day.
Start the tale and find the Strange Wooden Box
- Speak to Yan Cangfeng. Find him at the eastern entrance to Harvestfall Village and talk to him to begin the Bodhi Sea Wandering Tale.
- Travel to the south side of Bodhi Sea. Use the Path of Karma Boundary Stone, then look beside the Broken Wagon for the Strange Wooden Box. Wind Sense can help reveal its outline. One guide places the location in the Jadebrook Mountain area.
- Return the box. Take it back to Yan Cangfeng in Harvestfall Village.
Eavesdrop at the graveyard and collect the letter
- After delivering the box, set the in-game clock to Zi hour.
- Go to the western side of Harvestfall Village, near the large tree and graveyard.
- Stay close and eavesdrop while Yan Cangfeng bows. Let the scene finish and wait for him to leave.
- Inspect the ground where he was standing to pick up the Secret Letter. A guide describes it as being at the grave.
Give Yan Cangfeng the Secret Letter
Advance the in-game clock to the following day. Find Yan Cangfeng in a hut near the general merchants; on the map, the hut is just left of the Harvestfall Village Boundary Stone. Speak to him and hand over the Secret Letter to finish the tale.

If Yan Cangfeng is missing from the graveyard or hut, check the in-game time: the graveyard scene is tied to Zi hour, and the final handoff takes place the following day.
Emerging Talent rewards
Guide sources agree that completing the tale awards 20 Echo Jade, 10 Qinghe Exploration, 1,500 coins, and 1,500 EXP. They differ on whether the EXP is labeled Character EXP or Stored EXP, so check the in-game reward display for its current label.
