That makes Ender Magnolia a follow-up for players interested in the world and style of Ender Lilies, rather than a continuation starring Lily. The PlayStation listing also describes its battle system as revamped compared with the earlier game.

The Land of Fumes was a magical superpower whose underground resources enabled the creation of artificial life forms called Homunculi. Toxic fumes have driven many of them mad. The story unfolds decades after the Rain of Death and frames Lilac’s journey around destruction and rebirth. The official premises for both games are described on the Ender Lilies site and the Ender Magnolia site.
How do combat and exploration work?
Companion abilities shape combat
Lilac fights with abilities gained from companions. The official site lists 30 unique skills, spanning short-range and long-range weapon types. The PlayStation listing adds that players can collect and upgrade equipment, relics, and items, and choose a difficulty level to put more emphasis on challenge or story.
Traversal opens up the side-scrolling world
Exploration uses movement abilities including high jumps, wall climbing, and grappling to cross obstacles. The official site says the game has more equipment, relics, and items to collect than Ender Lilies, but does not give a specific total.

Where can you play Ender Magnolia?
The official site lists Ender Magnolia for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation Store listing specifies a January 22, 2025 release date for PS4 and PS5 and displays a U.S. price of $24.99. The official site also lists a $24.99 digital suggested retail price. What physical editions were announced?
In a June 24, 2024 announcement, publisher Binary Haze Interactive said physical PS5 and Nintendo Switch editions were offered through Limited Run Games, with EU preorders through Clear River Games. The announcement described collector-edition contents including a hardcover art book and soundtrack. It does not establish whether those editions are currently in stock or available to order.

The most useful comparison is in what the official descriptions actually specify: a new protagonist and region, companion-based combat with 30 listed skills, movement options such as grappling and wall climbing, difficulty choices, and a larger pool of collectable equipment, relics, and items. The latter is described only as more than in Ender Lilies; no exact count is given.
For a player deciding whether to try it, the distinction is straightforward: Ender Magnolia revisits the series’ dark-fantasy world and side-scrolling action-RPG approach, but tells Lilac’s story in the Land of Fumes rather than continuing as Lily’s adventure.
